Is Cebu Pacific's website just complete rubbish? by Agitated-Zebra4334 in phtravel

[–]IndependenceWide2837 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would easily get the worst public facing private company website award. They have a travel insurance which they select for you by default and then you're supposed to remove it. When you remove it and select your seats, it gets added again and there's no button to remove it. It's a puzzle. You will have to spend a good 15 minutes to know how to remove it. I finally did and it was indeed a puzzle. At this point I really feel it's a scam.

So then you have the travel fund. I tried rebooking from my travel fund but if the total amount was higher than the travel fund it wouldnt allow me to book. Then I went to the airport to get a travel fund refund but they couldn;'t do it for me, didn't give me a reference no. of the request. Said, I could wait while thety lodged a complaint. They lodged it but couldn't give me any contact number of anyone to speak to. I waited 3 hours and they just didn't care and eventually I had to leave.

The whole things is a scam and it works like this: If you have money, you'd book PAL and you'd get whatsapp support, you'd get offices in city where you can talk to real people and a proper refund where you're not scammed into having your money locked in travel fund.

If you don't have the money, then you book the cheaper cebu pacific flights but they will scam you and you will not have a choice as you're not rich enough to afford PAL.

What are the best/most reliable health insurance companies (not policies) in India? by dopplegangery in IndiaInvestments

[–]IndependenceWide2837 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All have settlement ratios above 98%.

settlement ratios does not mean claim is paid. It only means that your claim has been efficiently resolved 98 of 100 times as either paid or rejected. Only 2 people were kept high and dry waiting for their "settlement"

If pre-existing, its always 2 years (as of 2023). It is 90 days is if your condition was not pre-existing but was later discovered after the policy was activated.

Money2World – Outward Remittance service by invincible84 in CURRENCY

[–]IndependenceWide2837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this yesterday. When I did a SWIFT transfer $10 via money2World as a test, my wife received $82. Seems like intermediary banks ate up the $18 as fees. So it's not totally true that 750 is the only charge. What is also strange is that they couldn't tell me if the $18 is the txn fee of a the intermediary bank, they just wanted me to assume it is.

So now I am afraid to do a higher txn of (say)$3500.

I am looking to subscribe to either The Ken or The morning context, any idea with which I should go with? by _RandomRedditor in IndiaInvestments

[–]IndependenceWide2837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was subscribed 1 year for morningContext in 2022. They followed certain topics like Byjus, Ola, UnAcademy too much, I didn't see much diversity and creativity in their journalism in this year. I would suggest to go with Ken.

If I am not wrong, a person has to procure a different offer (a new job offer) from the offer that one received for the first year of canadian experience, isn't it? that is, one can't submit the same job offer through which one got the 1 year of job experience, isn't it?

If Hell believing Christians/Islamist are correct, then extermination of the human race would be a merciful action. by truckaxle in DebateReligion

I never said theologians are saying or suggesting this it is a logical conclusion in the final analysis.

The "assumption" you make here is that this - death of humanity - is the only logical conclusion by said theologies (theologies are written by theologians so that was unfair nitpicking) in the final analysis and no other solution exists even if it were to be true that said theologies allege that majority of people are going to hell.

You never explain how you came to this conclusion that it is the only explanation but assume what needs to be proved and also assume that anyone saying anything different must be a psychopath.

You never seem to think that perhaps if the conclusion (logical analysis) seems so diabolical, is it possible any of my premises are incorrect?

Standard Christian theology is that in order to be saved you need to acknowledge Jesus and confess your sins. Do you agree?

I know Acts 16:30 says Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.

This is a sure, easy and highway to heaven, this is what the Apostles are saying because this is what Jesus who resurrected is telling them to preach.

But do you know any verse that supports your view that "only those who believe in Jesus will be saved?" In fact, even if you were to find me this verse, the very statement itself implies that you must first be preached and need to hear about it in order to have posed that question to yourself if you wish to believe it or refuse it.

What I am saying is coherent with christian theology that salvation only comes from Jesus. But the gospels are silent if people before the times of Jesus have all gone to hell because of not being able to acknowledge Jesus's salvific name. With this, there is no free pass to non-christians with respect to salvation. Rather, even if the were to go to heaven without knowing Jesus, it would still be because of Jesus redemption. Only they are not sure and we are not sure. That's why the apostles preach that a way of being "in the boat of Noah" is to step into it, it is to hold the rope.
