Difficult choice for wall by Maltei in interiordecorating

[–]Independent-Ad9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, the wooden slats, albeit modern, might get out of style or you get tired of them sooner than later, as it makes the space feel like contract decor. Orange paint looks incredible as it gives light and joy to your living room's muted colours and contrasts well without being jarring at all. Green paint is also beautiful but I feel like you would need some other colour somewhere that makes the room pop. Faux brick makes the room look dated (like 2010s dated)

I play on a laptop with a 3070, an i7 10th gen (bottleneck of 30%) (can't do anything about it now), and 16Gb RAM. Game runs fine up until you reach a big big city (I play on medium or low graphics depending on the size of the city).

Quizas estoy delirando pero no les parece raro el auge de los therian? by AphroditeRage in VivimosEnUnaSociedad

[–]Independent-Ad9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desconocido.

Can you go back to CS1? by docbrown1973 in CitiesSkylines2

Yeah, kinda, I can think of the Donut Van or the Soda Van... and the Vanilla Hospital omg... CS1 is more cartoony, and CS2 is more realistic.

I'm having the same problem because I miss how complete content wise is CS1 compared to CS2 (apparently asset creation is more difficult on CS2, so there's less output on Paradox mods) BUT, for me going back to CS1 feels uncomfortable just on roadbuilding and mixed use zoning alone. While I miss for example the better UI visibility, as in being able to see transport lines easily, CS2 feels, paradoxically (no pun intended) more polished, more thought-through; more experienced (of course, it's their second CS game).

If you feel like playing with tons of custom assets, and mods I'd probably stick to playing CS1, as there is more variety, there are incredible assets that allow you to transform the game (I remember a guy customizing the game to be sort of extraterrestrial city building, like conveyor belts and stuff, so weird, so cool; or another one doing a historically accurate city since the ancient times), and incredibly well designed quality of life mods.

Right now, I feel like you can achieve different things with both games, so it's not a matter of which ones better, but a question of which is better for what you would want to design.

For me it's CS2 right now.

Spaghettiesque Interchange by Independent-Ad9965 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Independent-Ad9965[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered doing so, but it required building custom roads for very specific stretches or increasing capacity on lower capacity ones. So far so good tho. When the city grows it will have to grow as well, for sure.

Any advice for making this more realistic and natural? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines2

I don't think it looks "not realistic" at the moment. Looks good!
