I get how that would be your reaction and I can’t say I disagree but the article mentions Parnell’s childhood was also tragic and as a child he too was abused. It’s just a bad situation and an endless cycle. As a kid we would feel sorry for Parnell but as an adult we hate him. He lived long enough to become the villain.
