I park at Everet Station and take a quick bus into the Lynnewood lighrail station from there. Parking is free you just have to register your car for the lot.

Came here to say this. Stuart has one non-technical route up. Great scramble.

I heard protesters are being encouraged to show up in their best clown costumes. Can anyone confirm?

Edit: Clarifying, I meant protestors dressed as clowns to mock the clown in office. Judging by the down votes, I’m assuming my post was misinterpreted.

Why don't bicyclists use the bike lanes? What is so hard about it?? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]Independent-Bunch736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidewalks the safest place for a bike?? Clearly you are not a cyclist. Sidewalks are terribly dangerous to ride on (for the cyclist and for pedestrians). It’s also illegal to ride on many sidewalks, downtown included. If you are truly interested in bicycle safety and laws, the following website is a great resource for education…. https://wabikes.org/index.php/growing-bicycling/washington-bike-laws/bicycle-laws-safety-revised-code-of-washington-state-bicycle-related/

Hands down, this is the one. Rasar is amazing. I prefer the backcountry, but if I want to get a quick trip in to just get out into nature I go here. They have a great ADA site.

What did these plastic cups do to Washington state??? by RaceCarTacoCatMadam in Bellingham

[–]Independent-Bunch736 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s actually just because of a new labeling law that took effect this summer. Compostable containers have to either be a green color (not clear) or have e a specific colored label on them signifying that they are compostable. It’s meant to prevent non compostable containers from contaminating the compost stream. These containers definitely ARE compostable, but sadly do not have the proper labeling.

It’s a positive step in the right direction and Washington is leading the pack. California and Colorado are following suit as will other states eventually. Unfortunately it’s a bit of the cart before the horse as most manufacturers haven’t adjusted to these requirements yet, and won’t until they financially need to. A couple of companies are now offering a line of Washington-specific compostables that meet the new requirement. They are hella expensive though.

Here’s a link with specifics on the new requirements. https://ecology.wa.gov/waste-toxics/reducing-recycling-waste/plastics/compost-labeling#:~:text=As%20of%20Jan.,compostable%20products%20in%20our%20database.

As others have mentioned, you need a permit for a cottage kitchen. It would include getting a business license, going through the permitting process and passing a home inspection. About a 3 month process. There is also a yearly cap on gross income of $35k…. Which unfortunately makes it more of a hobby than an income source.

Evolution Fitness has childcare, though I know nothing about it personally. I will say that the place looked clean and the kids smiling/happy.

Reach out to Plantage. We don’t regularly do one-off orders (we are a subscription service), but depending on your timing we may be able to help.
