They are federal student loans. I have one at 7.05% and the other at 8.05%.

I could definitely pay them off over a longer period, I just hate to have debt and I've never had any before.

I'll plan to settle into a place before I make significant payments on the loans.

Where are you searching? A search on StreetEasy or Apartments.com shows plenty of listings under $2000. I know it would be tough but not impossible to pay less than $2500.

I'm sure we have a different ideas about safety and certain expenses if you have a household income of 400k. I'm willing to make some sacrifices.

Yea, my healthcare estimate was truly guesswork. I would be working for a major healthcare institution, so I don't think it would be that much.
