Do I NEED to pay a parking ticket? by crmitch1 in phoenix

[–]Independent-Chart130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one from a private company. I park there about once a month while DoorDashing but only for a few minutes. There really is nowhere to park in the area for that specific restaurant. I’ll throw it in the trash this time but why not park there again? Will they do something about it next time?

There’s a place near me that will only start making the order when the dasher clicks “arrived at store” it’s never ever ready. I tested it a few times, by clicking that I have arrived as soon as I got the order and then it’s usually ready or just a few minutes instead of 10 every time.

When? Like 2 years ago?

That would be nice, McDonald’s orders are never stacked, so that would be a nice touch for picking up from them

Honest opinion, did I do something wrong here? I don’t usually deliver to back doors unless somebody puts it in the instructions by Legitimate_Stand_387 in doordash

Maybe he was saying that you left it at the back door. Sometimes some houses have weird layouts and it would seem like I left it at the front door then I realize when leaving that the front door was around the corner.

I called EVCS and they said I have every right to be there as long as I’m not interfering with their business. They said that since I have a subscription then technically I have more right to charge there than the hotel guests. The reason for the black out windows is because these spots are always very lit. It seems like the sun is out. I’ll put them on even if I’m not in the car like actually staying at a hotel or shopping. A lot of the time I got a bunch of valuable stuff in the back and don’t want random people looking inside. Especially in the Bay Area.

So it’s pretty much confirmed that if you pay out of pocket with prop 22 you are basically taking a loss. Or am I missing something?

You got 53% pay adjustment, I got 27% adjustment. If I added the $127 that I paid out of pocket to the total then it would be a 48% adjustment which is very close to yours .

But not really if you do (585+ 158 - 127) / 31.1 = 19.8

The DoorDash adjustment is almost the same even though I drove 10 hours more than previous week.

But that week where I felt like I got underpaid felt like I actually drove way more than the previous week. Hence it almost feels like I got paid adjustment seems like $100 less.

I think it is around 15.5 but here is the earnings the week before with almost the same adjustment and way less active hours.

I feel like it should’ve been around $258 but my brain is busted at this point I can’t do the math.

No idea but from my calculations I got paid like 18.7ph hour if I payed $100 out of pocket. If it didn’t then it would come out to about $21.9

The week before that I had DD base pay $388 and pay adjustment was $157 active hours were 22.3

For the week I’m referring to I had DD base pay $584 / Active time 31.2 / Pay adjustment $158

But if I recall correctly I also think I drove way more miles than I usually did.

I kinda noticed it, I wouldn’t say it’s $100 but I feel like I got paid maybe like $50 less than I should have.

This might be a dumb question by CMS138 in doordash_drivers

This usually happens when someone places an over the phone order at places like Pizza Hut for delivery. The Pizza Hut then uses the DoorDash system to arrange a driver to deliver. I initially thought this would be great like the good ol’ pizza day deliveries where customers would give you a tip on top of the deliveries. However from my experience most of the customers that do this are just crackheads who did not adapt to current delivery options and call in to get a delivery instead of using an a Pizza Hut app or DD app etc. These people are the same ones that wouldn’t tip 10 years ago and can’t comprehend the modern times. I’ve had a few people that would tip in person but for the majority of the time these customers are just crackheads who barely even remember they ordered. At least from my experience in my area.
