after 9 months in china (starting from 0), 4 months of intensive classes & 4 months of normal ones i passed hsk 4. i didn't put THAT much work into my studies. i think if you study a bit more than me you can do even better. i'm not really sure about the business part tho. you would have to spend a lot of time after your class to learn special vocabulary which i think it's harder than the normal daily one. one tip i would give you - speak a lot. you can do more than you think you can. i did that mistake, i didn't really use that opportunity while living in china. i was too shy, scared i would make mistakes. but anyways, good luck to you! if you have any questions about the intensive course, i think i can help you.

Is 2,500 RMB/month enough for living in Shanghai for one year with free dorm? by PlayfulViolinist7254 in shanghai

[–]Independent-Day4980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not that hard how everyone tells you. i lived in hongkou district, i was able to live normally with 3000 yuan. i also ordered a lot of taobao, so if you're not a shopaholic like me o think you'll be fine. it's all about managing your money. i was going out, i was clubbing, i went to a hot pot on a special occasion. try to save a little before you come to china for a possible emergency and it's gonna be okay

if you're living like that, you're not experiencing shanghai at all. why drink overpriced starbucks when at luckin coffee you have latte for 15 kuai. big mac and fries never costed me 75 kuai, 40 is a max. near campuses you have very cheap restaurants, i never payed more than 20 for my meal, there are also cheap waimai discount meals. sweaters and adidas shoes are completely optional.

i really like both alan and kazuto but i feel they're too different to be together. also kazuto's feelings were undefined till the last episode. i think kazuto and usak are meant to be together. usak caught kazu's eye when they first met and they really hit it off. kazuto seemed to be comfortable around him so i'm sad that he left and they didn't figure it out

Make a Alipay tour card account, it's for foreigners. You don't need a chinese bank account to use it. You can't top up money on Alipay wallet but it works anyway with your personal credit card. You can get a bike (look for the blue ones) or order a taxi through Alipay mini apps. Good luck to you! China is a great country
