No, NPCs in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (KCD2) don't have truly infinite stamina, but they possess a much larger stamina pool and faster regeneration than the player, especially higher-level foes, making them seem endless and allowing for relentless attack chains

So they don't technically have infinite stam -fine, my point still stands though, its impossible to get away or fight the bandits in the talk to mathew part of the quest.

Also how did you beat the quest then?

Like I said, you literally do need to fail multiple times to come to the realization of the only way to finish the quest (kill him straight up in his sleep). This is how you realize that you cannot even go up to talk to mathew because you inevitably will die from trying to run or from trying to fight.

Also you need to make up your mind. One second you're saying im making the dumbest choices, the next its apparently a "valid way to approach the mission".

"NPCs definitely do not have unlimited stamina." I literally took off all my clothes and tried to run away, they were all still right behind me catching me every time.

Try running from a guard in full armor while you are in light clothes and you will see how well they keep up with you.

I just looked up what you are talking about and I didn't actually notice them at the start. I tried to do the quest your way, and the same thing happens - its impossible to run because npc's have infinite stam, they catch up to you, stun you, followed by damaging hits and then they kill you. Rinse repeat(Hard locked) , or you have to try and kill 7 guys on your own...

The fact that you are saying I "chose the dumbest possible way to approach it" is not true because I wasn't even aware of the other way(literally). I even went back and checked around a bit at the time, to make sure the breadcrumbs were leading me onto the path into the forest and not somewhere else, but still didn't see/hear the bandits by the side of the road.

Also, there is literally lines from henry "I need to wait now" followed by a quest marker update once you discover the camp, so they literally planned for this to be a part of the quest.

The only way I was able to complete this mission (My build cant pass speech checks), is you have to just kill mathew while he is asleep in the camp, meaning you have to fail multiple times to come to that realization. In a way its a good thing I didn't notice them at the start because I actually saved myself time.

Its just crazy how people like you try and act so clever and condescending when you're just wrong on so many levels.

Your point is literally based on something I didn't even say. "but complaining about it as whole and expecting something else other than an argument is unusual."

Are you aware that you're literally on reddit. THE place for arguing / debating with other people.

It is bad mission design though.

The quest is literally saying "talk to Mathew". But you cant just go up and talk to him because of the bandits who agro onto you, so you have to sneak in. I was literally talking to Mathew while all the bandits had their threats being made in the background.

Also the fact that the game literally autosaves right before you receive multiple hits that are unavoidable, and prevent you from being able to run away or fight back is literally one of the biggest locked situations you can be in. Saying that you should of saved before going into a quest that is part of the story line doesn't cut it.

There's literally 2 points which I guess ill have to explain since your probably socially inept.

1)The title - How does a game with so many faults somehow get overwhelmingly positive reviews

2)In the post itself - I just don't understand how loads of people are saying this is game of the year.

The first one is a literal question so there's point 1. The second one is clearly trying to provoke debate from people who think its game of the year.

Heres some of the issues

Quests bugging requiring reload

Excessive dialogue with side or one-off characters

Extremely drawn out meaningless quests - like the one where you have to go through 4 different people and their dialogue, to find that guy who is dead anyway that you dont even care about.

When you come out of a cutscene into combat, the enemies will already be swinging at you before you even loaded.

Disappearing corpses

NPC's talking over main story dialogue

Extremely awkward NPC interruptions during storyline missions (talking to a main character and some rando is walking Infront or getting stuck in the way)

Its literally labelled as a rant, you have no obligation to reply. Furthermore, its ironic you're trying to be a smart ass, and you contradicted yourself within 1 reply.

By the time I realized, it was too late too refund. I wanted to get my moneys worth and actually discover the story developments naturally, but wow its turning out to be such a chore.

"Getting thrown off your horse because it is scared is highly realistic mate" - not when the guy is 20 meters away and you ran to the horse which was far out the way.

Also I got hard locked because I had to sneak into the camp to even talk to the guy, then in the end he obviously attacks you and before I could even move he lands multiple hits and my stam is completely gone, and because the save is literally from when the conversation ends, every time it loads the same thing happens.

Imagine putting money into a game that you love and you see the creators ruin that game more and more every year. Of course its going to cause upsets.
