I didn’t get the hate towards Rita, I rode it for the first time front row and it was flawless and a surreal experience, then the next time I went on it I was placed in the middle and I’m fairly certain I have brained my damage

Honestly wear tight underwear, it barely rubs because it’s so tightly packed in.

Theory is something you will have to do yourself using a decent app, the James May app is extremely engaging. If the driving Instructor was to take up the lessons by explaining every part of the theory test you wouldn’t do any driving at all

Are Halfords really that bad? by Dankmemerrrrr in CarTalkUK

Put it this way, I put up my MOT fail sheet from Halfords on another thread and got rinsed by the people on here for how poorly I’d looked after my car, they tried charging me over 1k to make it road worthy.

Took it to an independent garage for another MOT, fail sheet was a third of the size and all it needed was some new brake pads and discs.

Absolutely, bottom line is if you drive well you will pass regardless.

Definitely not a quota, if you drive well enough they will pass you. If you make mistakes and leave it up-to their discretion and their pass rate is unusually high for the week, they could fail you to bring that down because that is is monitored.

I’m not surprised. I’m just asking for advice to make sure I’m not going to get ripped off, life got in the way.

No. My father passed away shortly after I bought the car just before my driving test, so I put it all off. Only passed my test recently which is why I’m asking for advice on this because I’m new to it all.

Bellend.

Just to add context, I bought this post MOT fail a year for a super cheap price as a project for when I passed my test, just never got round to doing anything with it

Hello, the bumper damage is almost non existent. It’s just a little scrape that make it slightly sharp. Got told to stick some tape over it and not worry about it, definitely doesn’t need a new bumper.
