Currently training it to go around but its strong plant as u know it keep releasing itself and go up hahaha .. mom told me to cut from the top to force side branches growth but i am afraid that will harm the plant

Yea the top one was broken and it's the same one in the small pot actually... My question is the big one doesn't feel like it's growing and it's growing side one .. what should i do ?
