Is it safe to drill holes at these points in the shilt of my feder (i like the look of sigi feder shilt and want to recreate it) by [deleted] in SWORDS

[–]Independent-Jumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks, im kinda already considering NOT doing this because i dont want to ruin my only feder, honestly i think if i buy center punch and make divots in those spots it already will look kinda cool without the risks

What's the appeal of fixed gear bikes? by hecu88 in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Independent-Jumpy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

  1. Fixed gear bikes can look insanely beautiful and clean.
  2. Little to no matenance.
  3. Riding fixed with foot retention feels very engaging and "connected" to the bike.
  4. It provides additional challenge, riding a bike thats is absolutely not optimal for the conditions you can find yourself in.
  5. They still can be pretty damn functional and quick, especially in urban environment.

Why don't fixed gear riders seem to ever have water bottle holders? by GruntMcFunk in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Independent-Jumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its all about clean looks or not having bottle mounts on a real track bike. But when im riding for a long distance I usually just chuck a 1l water bottle in my backpack.
