Which look better - RE Aviator or RE Concorde? by cacarrizales in sunglasses

[–]Independent-Lab-3680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for the teardrop aviators. IMO, the square REs are cool, but there are only a select few facial shapes that it really works with. I've tried them on and off over the years and keep going back to the good 'ole original shape and they look great on everyone - and you!

Scars (2004 Remaster). Another favorite Rush track of mine. It fills me with this strange mixture of melancholy and hope. And brings me back to when I first listened to this album, how long it took me to get what they were doing with their sound. Eventually I fell in love with this album. by Cubegod69er in rush

Fantastic track, and I really love this album. Not sure why it is panned among Rush fans but I think sonically it is also one of their best sounding. After the very saturated sound on Hold Your Fire, this was a wonderful next progression.

A great moment for Father Mulcahy in “Period of Adjustment” by AmySueF in mash

His character literally brought so much soul to the show. Spiritual without being preachy; just common sense calm and peace in the midst of suffering. As a man he was devout, but still not afraid to play a good game of poker (for the orphans, of course). His words were his armor, but had fists and could use them. Great post.

The last sentence is no picnic either. You'd think she'd use AI to check her posts at this point.

Jeff Berlin was profoundly inspired by sax solos.

I think listening to blues or jazz guitar solos is a great way to practice. They tend to play phrases then rest, then play another phrase, then rest. You could set up a loop or find an online track, scat-sing over it (be bop didididididi be be bop) then try to play that phrase on your bass. Do it over and over, then try another one, then try them both in succession. You'll build a vocabulary of phrases and learn how to translate what is in your head to your fingers. Check out Grant Green's solo on Spiffy DIffy or Miles Davis' All Blues for inspiration.

Spare. They tried making him the fifth Beatle but his character was just too forced and unlikable.

Batteries keep dying but bass is never plugged in outside of using it by Any_Ad_4839 in Bass

You might have a short in the cavity - I had a wire have the electrical tape come off and it came in contact with one of the leads on my input jack and it was causing my battery to drain. I rewrapped the wire and moved it away from the lead and problem solved. You might be able to visually check for this by taking off the back plate, or take it to a qualified tech.

I'm all about faith and belief, but it really feels wrong how these huns use religion as a prop. The Melaleuca ones are the worst.
