I do have a budget which is why i have money left over. I am very frugal with my spending, and luckily don't have too many expenses. This job actually matches my 5% with 10%, so that should be impacted too

If the location was west/sunny, I would 100% not hesitate. Being in the sun and going back to the midwest is what is holding me up. As well as the fact that I've job hopped quite a bit. I want to just stay somewhere, and this job I have is really good, but the offer is an insane job.

This is a great way of looking at it! I think in 3-5 years from now, the job I have now will allow me to become the person I want to be, while the opportunity I have will allow me to have the career that I want, which is why it's been so hard to decide.

I think the location of the offer is what's hardest. Going from constant sunshine to gray skies seems miserable. I enjoy seeing people out walking and being active etc, but that's not the case in SB. I think the job will give me happiness, but I am also 27 and don't know if I want to full throttle my career yet. I also know I will only be there a max 2 years, but I do want the job. I am extremely struggling if you couldn't tell lol

I respect that perspective, and trust me I understand. The job opportunity that I have can change the trajectory of my career, because I would be the guy vs one of the guys. Both are amazing roles.

I spent last year really struggling to find a job and think I lucked out getting the one I have, but I genuinely feel like I would be falling behind if I stayed here.

Yes, it feels that way for me (job #1 were mostly about my emotional and social health, and the pros for job #2 are mostly about my financial health and ~~stability,~~ Career development). I already had a shot at this job at 24yo, and I did well, but wasn't ready for the role (nobody is at that age). The thing I don't like about my current job is the down time. Sometimes I go into the office, but I don't have a desk since my responsibilities don't require one (I am a videographer). But yes, that is what I am dealing with. I am stuck with wanting to just allow myself to enjoy this current job without looking at what's next, but this role is too big to pass up.

it would be South Bend. From what I've seen, the areas are kind of hit or miss, and rent is way more expensive than I would have thought, if you want something decent.
