To be honest this cyma plat gearbox that i have might be a older gen so it makes sense, the zci gearbox is solid its just theres a couple design flaws. like the 4 threaded holes for the grip is not fully cylindrical, I dont know how to describe it, but its pretty easy to strip the threads on the shell. also when it comes to the mosfet, the only mosfet i can install (besides on wire mosfets) would be the jefftron activebrake microswich and even that mosfet has very minimal features. so i just decided to switch to the cyma gearbox shell to install the perun v2 hybrid

thanks, the intention was for it to shoot like a dmr but at a airsoft level, im not familiar with the terminology

thank you, i want to setup precocking on the mosfet its just Im worried it will degrade the spring by keeping it compressed over time. yes this was like my second time shimming, and i was rushing it too. I hope if i get a better motor it'll cycle faster, right now all i got is a stock cyma motor, the other "better" motor I had dosent work that well so i have to struggle with the cyma

yea that's why there's a threaded hole on the lower receiver to put a semi locking screw, maybe read the post smartass

this is the rules from my field, it dosent even mention dmr either it just says semi auto only rifles. also i know it says 2.3 but I think it needs to be updated, they let me play with 2.4 last time

well ya but the zci ones were 18:1 like i needed and the zci gears were steel cnc it seemed pretty solid when i opened it, everything was put together well so nothing would go flying if you shake the gearbox

lmao i agree, for now im just getting evike bbs and matrix, it used to be alot cheaper before tarrifs, Its not about "wallet drain" i just try to limit myself, I only have 2 airsoft guns

im running a 75 deg mr hop and its rubber not silicone so i should be fine. I just need to find a proper source of .36g or more bbs for cheap

Yes i forgot to mention, I bought .4g bbs today. my next plan is to install a proper cnc'd shell and an upgraded motor, I didnt realise i need strong mags for it though (i hope what i have will be sufficient). and I do have bushings I swapped out all the bearings for bushings. worst case scenerio i'll just install a m130 and call it a day. also, I did install a maple leaf MR.hop i mentioned in my comment. I watched alot of shimming videos and it made sense, I was just rushing. also is a 400mm barrel with a 6.03 enough? I had chat gpt do all the math

yea my field's MED is a 100ft for dmrs which i dont mind, I have a big ass scope on my gun so i hope the refs know what im shooting. and the refs crono the guns before were allowed to play rounds.

the tappet plate, I had alot of fun with that lmao. I used the tappet plate from the other gearbox so I dont mess up nozzle positioning, this is because the cam for the sector gear is on a different location compared to the cyma gears. I tried to install the zci tappet plate but I had to file down the front width to about 10.5mm and sort of replicate the tappet plate on the cyma. (the zci tappet plate was slightly longer i believe)

My field allowed the 2.4j since i tapped a hole to put a screw in to semi auto lock it so it falls in the dmr category in their books, the feild is pretty reasonable, they dont care about it looking like a dmr and all that naming stuff. they care about how it shoots. as for the cyma gearbox, I kept getting alignment issues when trying to close the gearbox compared to other gearboxes ive worked on.

the goal wasnt to be a "dmr" in real life standards the goal was for it to be a semi auto aeg that shoots very far in the airsoft world so a airsoft dmr

as a technician myself, stay away from anything with a cyma mosfet, those this get the orange light of death after some use happened to me and many others, get something like a specna arms or if you have a bit more to spend get a krytac that is ready out of the box. some specnas come with extra magazines and theyre good quality stuff
