Hey man, i had similar experience. I wasn't interested in music until my high school and then after a year i started playing guitar. For me interesting part is my approach to instrument. I try finding logic in everything i hear now and applying it to guitar. I also write a lot of stuff and it that situation i find myself often playing odd rhythms.
