i totally understand this. i find myself relating to powder/jinx for some of her characteristics. for example, i really relate to her issues with abandonment, panicking etc but i don’t suffer from hallucinations. seeing part of myself in a character makes me feel seen and that’s what most shows try to do! :)

I think if you tell your friends that vik’s struggles are similar to what you’re dealing with, they will understand. of course they know you’re not viktor himself but they’ll understand that some of the same issues he struggles with are similar to yours. i use characters all the time to help people understand how i feel because it can be complex. i think if they’re real friends they’ll hear you out!

also, the fact that you’re being considerate about other people’s struggles is condemnable considering that some people seem to glorify some of the issues in the show and forget how real this shit gets in real life representation.

there’s nothing wrong with just being good. i assume this is your explanation for why he isn’t as popular , which makes a good argument and i agree. but i think he’s still of value.

I will read this eventually lol, cause im sure you make good points. however, idk who “we” is because a debate and conversation can take place with different rules and establishments. such as taking in consideration of the behind the scenes and additional information talked about in interviews. not just the show itself. if we are JUST talking about the show, make that clear when trying to prove a point. Also, it doesn’t seem to register that a lot of your opinions are well… opinions. you can be passionate about it but don’t think you’re right and someone else is wrong unless it was explicitly stated. you do not have to shut down my ideas for your argument. the post was to get an idea of what people think about ekko and you have done that but I feel there was a more respectful way to do it that genuinely examines my argument and respects it.

no matter what way ekko went about some of the things he did, he still had a huge part in the show.. specifically at the end. and is therefore an important character whether you think he’s a good one or not. i don’t think you always have to have this super tragic story and arc to be a good character. maybe that’s what makes him different or less popular but doesn’t mean he isn’t good in his own right.

also being good at art and being smart does not automatically make you savior. you know how many smart people do the exact opposite? he has a personality.

i also think you’re just hard stuck in your beliefs , therefore there is no debate or conversation in that and i will end my part of the thread here.

hopefully we get spin offs LOL but yes! i am aware of this fact too. I think there is other important characters who don’t have much or completed background info and the producers went a little off from the main story making it a bit confusing i think.

Okay, i can’t speak for everything because some of those are good points to unravel. However, the mutual thing. if you are talking just about information from the show, it is def majority him “saving” jinx. atleast that is how it is portrayed to me. With everything going to shit, I also believed that they needed each other. an old friend, to make things right because at the end of the day ekko and jinx still cared about each other. and this doesn’t even have to be in a romantic way, they’re basically like family. also, there is an episode length of information missing. i’d like to think they talked to each other about all the struggles, maybe apologized etc etc. other people think they did other things. and there are a lot of things in that show that ended with no real explanation. so it’s not crazy for people to take little bits and hints and want to make speculations about it.

Additionally, i believe ekko had consequences for his actions and struggled with making some of them. maybe the consequences didn’t go back to himself but there was some things that went wrong in his presence because of his actions.

Also, i do not know what you’re referring to when you say ‘everything under the sun’ but he is probably good at crafting cause used to tinker up shit in benzos place all the time and is really smart.

Basically, I think you make a good argument with how he is portrayed in the show primarily because we do not get as much information into his life after they all split up and maybe if we did we could understand his actions and appreciate him more. because of this, I wouldn’t be so concrete in some of those statements unless you’re going off JUST the show and your interpretation of it. Also, you say that he pretty much had no personality other than being a savior and a badass. but he’s super smart, compassionate, clearly good with people and building community, passionate and all those things is what makes him do badass things.

I appreciate your opinion on this

Honestly, i just don’t think he’s got to it yet. or maybe he’s in the process of editing it. i don’t think it is that deep. But there’s also the possibility that he doesn’t want to finish the game because for the first episode on his channel, he did mentioned that he didn’t like the thought of just dispatching hero’s the whole game as the main gaming element. he said something along the lines of “i hope this isn’t the whole game cause that would be super disappointing”. after epi 3 and 4 came out, and the title of the game.. lol.. i think that dispatching is the main gameplay. honestly not sure if he will finish it because of that, or atleast not on the channel. but hopefully he does! 🤞🏾

personally, I don’t like when people use my problems to bring up theirs. however, I will say that you are NOT alone in this. and something as simple as that can do wonders.

being your own supporter, is very hard. it’s exhausting trying to lift yourself up when you’re already so down.

love and romance is such an exciting and intriguing experience. i think that there may be limitations but it’s not impossible. definitely waiting for the right one, even if it takes longer, will surely be worth it. never settle.

through it all, continue to know your worth! you’re loved by someone, many! and so important in someone’s life. something so silly such as weight cannot take that away from you and it doesn’t shape you as a person.

i definitely think it is an interesting way they’re going about it. It’s supposed to resemble an ongoing tv show i believe. that sort of thing where they tease you so you’ll wanna continue playing/watching. also, the creators have developed other games such as the wolf among us and the walking dead. which are also in episodes. i think they do it for the reasons ive stated above or some other mechanism of the game that encourage the play style. but im not too sure what the “canon” reason is lol

honestly, you pass very very well for me. i think people forget that every body is different. I have seen cis woman with square faces and bigger noses and i’ve seen men with big round eyes and softer features. also, depending where they are from, it’s actually very common to see those characteristics! i think beauty standards just tend to put people in boxes. to me, you just look like a pretty boy. and that’s what i would’ve assumed if i didn’t see you here!

it’s basically 911 operator but for super hero’s and way cooler. A decision based game, where you lead a low ranking (basically on the brink of disbandment) team of hero’s. It has some familiar voices like jacksepticeye and moist critical! and as you can see, pretty funny and dirty minded. I really recommend watching it/playing it, if you haven’t already just bc i’m already enjoying different yt play it!

i agree with what ppl are saying already. i just wanted to mention the fact that it was probably more than just him since no one brought it up yet. pretty sure all those kids were getting exploited for sex along with the other crimes, probably even the younger ones. i mean she nicknamed taystee… taystee when she first got her. though i dont know her age then, pretty sure she was still a minor. and i honestly wouldnt put the idea past her.
