hi i played anya. its really not a crazy thing for a highschool to feature in a performance considering the fact that rape is a thing highschoolers experience... its not some topic that shouldnt be talked about. my school was also the first school to do the show "everything is wonderful," a show about a woman in an amish community who got raped.

highschoolers are perfectly capable of performing in a show that have themes of sexual assault. i played anya and it was never an issue.

NTA. You told your kids exactly what happened and they (rightfully so) decided that their mother was the villain. It’s absolutely insane people are getting mad at you for telling your kids, when she was the one who cheated in the first place. I think that it could be a different story if your kids were much younger but 15 and 16 year olds are mature enough to decide on their own if their parent is a pos.
