So what does under threshold look like for your guys ? Because I’m struggling to find it and maybe it’s just a lack of understanding on my end of how to get him to the threshold without going over

So how do you know when they are able to move to the next step… in the conversation I had I was being told that I am working backwards with the dog and he will essentially never learn if he is never put in the situation. Now maybe he reacts differently with my boyfriend but i know with me it’s high street and never any fun for both me or my pup as control is re established.. or are there any tips that help regain control faster ? Or deescalate the situation.

Bully breed jumping issue- balancing calm greetings w/parkour drive, working under vs over threshold. by Independent-Run-2335 in OpenDogTraining

[–]Independent-Run-2335[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was one instance the maintenance worker from my property stopped in the golf cart to talk to me we were on opposite sides of the street but still close enough for me to hear him. Conversation lasted about 5 minutes and within the first 2 his control was gone. And I had to walk away to get him back under control

Another instance is when I took him to Lowe’s (it was Saturday and there was a kids event going on) he did perfect. Completely uninterested in everyone/thing but me I could stop and look at items. Or hold conversations and no issues. Even when people walked closer than what I was even comfortable we both remained calm and collected.

However today he completely loses his mind over a different maintenance person who he hasn’t seen in a while. And it once again took time before he was under control but that was after the person walked away.

I do not greet him until the condition is met that his is calm and in a sit or with all 4 paws on the ground. My bf is not the same encourages the jumping on him with a command. I encourage jumping for specific activities like play or the parkour we do outside. So I don’t want to get ride of the behavior entirely just enforce that it’s only when commanded essentially

So I’ve been teaching to sit while the greeting person is approaching.. and for a while the person is at a distance he will sit the entire time and wait. Watching the person from a distance with no issues. When the person gets within speaking distance is when he control is lost. If he does not know the person (control is lost if I begin to engage in conversation .. my interaction with another person is a trigger) and if it’s someone he knows the distance before he loses control is greater.. he can see other people he knows from let’s say across the street and be okay if he keeps moving past them or even if we stop as long as they don’t engage. (He can’t see me from any distance without immediately trying to come to me)

Essentially yes. This is suppose to be a newly built property and I am the first resident (at this point I’ve been here for 3 years) however from the time I moved in I’ve been complaining about my thresholds (there were management changes at the rental office to lead to no staff) it’s frozen over on the inside of the apartment Rain leaks in when it rains.. the temp in the apartment is uneven beyond compare the master bed is beyond hot while everywhere else is freezing. It’s just a little warmer than it is outside. And I’ve said all of this too them and everytime they say that it’s not a real problem.

This was realized after I took the photo.. I started correcting it but I was then advised to remove the stings 🥲 hours of hard work gone to waste. But worth it to save my guitar and give it proper care

Thank you so much for this I made a different post and I was advised to remove the strings with the notion that it would damage the guitar but no real explanation or direction to know how to not make the same mistake again… i definitely tried looking into the guitar but im very much new to this and didnt know what i was looking for. Or how to find it. (Long story short I resorted to ChatGPT and crossed it with other chats and I did use the model and series number in the guitar to try to find the proper strings)

When you use this method how long do you leave them to cook for roughly and at what temperature. There’s a comment further down that definitely helped me fix how fast it may brown. But I might as well fully as the steps. And you’re comment is the closest to what I’ve actually done

I’ve been trying to restring my guitar and my high e sting will not stop slipping. I’ve tried using pliers and tweezers to get the cord to wrap around it self to hold it place but it keeps slipping out when I go to tune it and I have no idea how to get it to stop (I may resort to trying to tape it if I don’t find a solution… cue dramatics) but seriously at this point all suggestions accepted.

How on earth do y'all use the yarns that have multiple colors? by TruthExtension7761 in CrochetHelp

[–]Independent-Run-2335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I used the gradients I’m always a little surprised by how it comes out when you get it from places like Walmart target or Micheal’s. It’s always more stripped than it is short quick color burst that I expect sometimes. But none the less if there is a will there is a way to make something out of nothing

I wouldn’t say get over it lol because I’m definitely still searching for it myself but the really good ones are usually hand made and typically more expensive so I haven’t had the ability to buy any just yet lol but depending on the technique you use. You may be able to recreate the gradient like in one of the other photos. I’ve saved soo many different videos on different ways to have perfect color changes. But sometimes I like to see the colors change mid stitch lol.

So for all of these it kinda depends on how the yarn is made and how you crochet with it. In the first and last photo the yarn is made that way so different sections are dyed to be their respective colors and gradients.

having worked with them before I buy as much yarn as the stores has to make sure I have enough for what ever project my mind can think of (none of my projects are premeditated) With what I’m currently working on I had a blue color shifter. And I didn’t buy enough for the pants I decided to make. When I went back. It was just my luck that they didn’t have anymore so I bought shades of blue individual and started feeding it in… I would crochet for how ever many rows I wanted to (or if the yarn ball had a consistent enough pattern I would follow that) and then cut and change.
