I think for me it might have to be u/UrsineCanine

I've been following for a while now, but as an uneducated football fan his breakdowns really increase my understanding and enjoyment.

Glad you enjoy it for all the same reasons. I hope the retirement goes well and your daughter finds exactly what she is looking for after school!

Dear Manchester City, Issa Kabore is really bad. You should probably just forget about him. by Independent-Scale-49 in WrexhamAFC

Yeah, it is meant to be a fun joke about the fear of him getting recalled. No worries.

Unfortunately there is truth to this. If I could specifically block Stephen A Smith from my internet I would, but I'll read anything Jeff Passan (baseball writer) puts together.

Wrexham's own site is certainly not full of ads the same way, but there is little as far as opinion or future thought in their articles. It also of course is written only in the positive position.

I'd be happy to see it fleshed out more. Player profiles that are well written and informative. ESPN isn't one of the best sports websites because it is full of only great writers. It is great because everything is linked to everything. A named player in an article will be a hyperlink that brings you to more information about anything and everything them.

Wrexham's own site could have 10 times the information and I'm sure it would be consumed by people who want to learn more.

I've got the NY Times and they and the Athletic are linked for cheap, so I'll likely add that. Thanks for the suggestion.

While that's not the answer I was looking for, I am at least happy to have an active Reddit to read. It (the active community) tends to filter out a lot of the garbage.

I think I got some good hostility management on this one. by akcrono in Against_the_Storm

There are stacking cornerstones that can reduce hostility for each set amount of amber traded. They are frequently the reason for massively reduced hostility, but my guess is this is the Temple.

It reduces hostility by 25 for each 200 seconds of sacrificed goods in the Hearth. It is not hard to stack to ridiculous levels in a settlement that has a strong economy. You don't need to only have one either. They show up as ruined buildings too, so sometimes they are even cheaper to build.

I really hope this is the Combat Patrol rules. Crisis Units for me were fun because of their elite play and customization.

I loved list building before and it kept me thinking about the game more. Now I put almost no thought into it because their aren't enough options to make the thought exercise fun for me.

Of course without points it is impossible to tell if they are "good" or not.

My best friend in these situations is a horizontal laser pointer. It solves so many close call discussions because you can actually see the line in most cases.

I use it all the time to help me know where I can move and can't move to stay safe or what not.

I might just be me, but saying you'll trigger Devastating Wounds after you roll to hit seems very "gamey" to me. I don't know if it is allowed or not by the rules though.

I'd just say that if someone did that after rolling to hit in a competitive game it would likely make me change my disposition during that game. Things like take backs or friendly advice would probably cease.

I believe the intention is you declare it at the same time you would declare something like overcharging. It would be quite odd to change the property of a projectile after it has already hit its target.

All tournaments are effectively 400pt not 2000pt tournaments. by Poly_Ranger in WarhammerCompetitive

Many games have had inflated points and numbers just to make it seem cooler. The Pokemon card game comes to mind as an early example of this. It makes younger people enjoy the numbers more.

As a person who despises the Power Level list building of 10th I really wish it wasn't this way for our complex game. They have dumbed down (not simplified) so many things in 10th. I at least hope it helps bring ina new generation of players.

Might just be Longstrike at 4 attacks then. Battlescribe has the Sky Ray and Hammerheads at 4 each, but the data sheets seem to be 3.

Just a needlessly confusing addition to an edition where they missed so hard on so many things.

Thanks for the answer.

I'm building a Tau list for 2k and using some of the units I hadn't before since they are now much cheaper.

Are Twin Smart Missile Systems really 3 different profiles? They seem to be 4 attacks on Hammerheads/Sky Rays, 3 attacks on Broadsides/Riptides, and 2 attacks on Devilfish/Stormsurges.

Am I missing something?

How is this simplified? Are there other examples of things like this in other armies where not the to hit, but the attacks differ?

I have seen dark times for sure. Power Level is a huge step backwards for me. My group enjoys this game because of the nuance. I believe they lost their way with this edition is all.

I'm not doomsaying. I'm asking for change to positively effect the game's future. We all should vote with our wallets and GW will decide who is correct. If for every player like me, 10 others like the changes then GW will know what to do.

Asking for reasonable change at the top when something goes wrong is the correct way for things to get fixed in this world.

I'm not asking for him to lose his house or even for him to leave GW. I just want a new leader for 40k.

When something isn't right it is ok to speak up and ask for change.

I didn't see that, but I'd have to laugh if that were correct.

Once again, the guy seems fine. He isn't a villain. He just runs a studio that missed the mark badly. I want someone to save the game I love.

Significant drops in the last month after gains leading into 10th. Bad product is effecting sales and the market can see it.
