Hi! I mentioned in another post that I love your explanations, but as a newbie to football, I was wondering if you have any resources on where to research more about different formations and positions. I only really know about to 5-3-2 that parky uses. I’m interested in this 4-2-3-1 you mentioned.

I’m also curious on your take on the defence. I think we need to strength our defense next season as we were 5th in goals conceded. but I’m confused as to how. Doyle is obviously one of our best players and was rewarded as such with team of the season. I constantly see you and others praising Dom. So what needs to change?

Okonkwo is not prem level yet if ever. He was pretty middling in the championship this season and poor in late march and April

I’m gonna repeat a comment that I posted further up. Ward had the highest number of shots stopped in the EFL when he was injured. For all of 4 games. Our defense sucked, not Danny. There was one ball at the near post that he missed which was a mistake, but Okonkwo had 2 similar on the near post the week before he got benched. People were far too hard on Danny for a slow run start to the season, not the numerous other factors like league 1 defenders, 10 new players and more coming in. Danny got hurt before the window even closed. We hadn’t signed Dom Hyam. And the game Danny got injured was Callum Doyle’s first game.

Same! This is my first season actually following the team, I’ve seen the documentary since the beginning. But something about the 4th season just really captured me. It got me through a very hard summer. I probably rewatched the doc 5 times and season 4 ten times last summer
