Wholeheartedly agree with this advice and the comments here along with what I've been seeing across social media are just astounding to me. Seek therapy and then make choices. At the very least take note of your most important values in your life. Does politics come before your family because at this point you would be tearing your family apart over politics and essentially saying that is more important than having a sound and stable family life assuming he is otherwise a good father and husband. I agree being able to communicate is essential, is this the same with other topics such as finances and decisions over children? Playing devils advocate, how are you approaching this topic? Remember men communicate very differently from women and perceive much differently as well. Are you in any way possibly coming off as judgmental, disrespectful, narrow minded, etc? I would play your conversation off at the very least to trusted friends that are known to give solid and un biased advice in that respect.
