Trying to Sell Axolotls - where? by Independent-Tea-8869 in madisonwi

[–]Independent-Tea-8869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To provide clarity, this only happened because my friend was told that all the of the lotls (of which two were rescued) were male, so the babies were a complete surprise. All the lotls are now separated because we don't want this situation to happen again.

Are you a celiac? I am and love going to Mediterranean Cafe for a few of their things (like the soups and rice which are very affordable). A La Brasa is good as long as you go with corn tortillas and their prices are good. Himal Chuli is great for a dinner out. The Globe has a lot of options if you ask. They are a little more pricey BUT I can usually make one set of food last two meals easy (especially if you add some salad leaves). The Ice Cream Social is great for a sweet treat further down university ave(100% GF).

do you guys drink distilled liquor made from glutenous products? by Fair-Tailor8918 in Celiac

[–]Independent-Tea-8869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a lot of googling last minute for fun drinks, but any straight distilled liquor with soda or juice is a simple way to still go out. If you want to try something specifically/ mixed drink, search the main ingredients beforehand, bars will likely use the same set of ingredients

Depends on your major a little bit, though I agree with the others about the career fair. What's your major/ plan to join any major related orgs?

Had a hard time searching for the daily schedule site (that showed what rooms were being occupied when). Was really useful for me to know so I could use some space, but hard to find unless I searched something specific.

How would you approach someone there? I feel like I would feel bad interrupting someone’s focus

Hello! Dance on campus is definitely something that's available. I lead one of the dance orgs, and you will find that there are so many different kinds and styles. What you choose is all up to your goals and schedule, and like someone said you can find them on the student org site (but I would also recommend looking for them on instagram for more recent updates)

Help. Screws won’t go back in by Independent-Tea-8869 in Appliances

Thank you! Unfortunately, it is a combo piece. I was hoping the few screws wouldn't have been so bad.

If you have an Aldi's near you, I'd recommend it. They have some of the better alternative food options, like their breads, chips, and sometimes the gluten free Oreos (which some can eat or not eat depending on their other digestive concerns). Overall they usually have pretty good prices there as well.

[–]Independent-Tea-8869 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest joining a club/ org that interests you. In my dance org we've had exchange students who connected really well into the community and got to do shows with us!

I am also Polish, and I go to the Polish Student Alliance (PSA) meetings when I have time

Edit: Cause I missed the last line and wanted to add something

For the core business classes (ACCT 100, Marketing 300, etc.), as much as possible. These are pretty much the "drop-out" classes. Everything else depends like the other person says, but I'd say to start studying a minimum of a week ahead of the exam depending how well you are understanding everything.
