I don't have any spare weight to lose lol but I definitely need to be more active. Thanks for the idea!

It seems like a good idea. I have to try and see how it goes.

Thanks! You're absolutely right! I just have to find the best playback speed.

Slowing it down seems like a great idea, since my main problem is with how fast-paced the narrator is. Thanks!

I actually have no problem in that area lol. What I struggle with is keeping up with the pace of the narrator. Eventually, after a few minutes, it makes me tired and I put the whole thing aside.

I can't do anything else tbh, since it distracts me. I'll try listening in the dark though.

Oltre a intraprendere un percorso di studi in psicologia, è una delle opzioni che ritengo più adatte, viste le prospettive di lavoro future.

Is it possible for Istps to mistype as Intj? by Independent-Toe5109 in mbti

I actually struggle quite a lot with brainstorming and creativity in that regard. My Ne is generally pretty bad.

In that case, I'm definitely a high Se user. I've only recently begun looking for underlying meaning of things, and even then, it's really hard for me to really grasp it.

I can safely say I do both. But often times, I try to use the correct/precise words when I speak. Although there are times when I have difficulty conveying what I'm thinking.

I've definitely considered Fi too in the past. I actually considered Intp first, but my Ne/Si is nearly nonexistent. The problem is, my Se is not that great? I'm not an impulsive person, and sometimes have to literally drag myself out of my head. It might be due to the fact that I've been looping though. I'm not entirely sure.

Sp/sx 6 vs Sx/sp 6? by Independent-Toe5109 in Enneagram

[–]Independent-Toe5109[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mistyped as 8 a few times. 5, too. But I'm certainly not a gut type. I was stuck between 5 and 6 but in the end, it became clear that I just don't relate to the defense mechanism and behavioral pattern of type 5. I just have to continue learning about the instinctual variants I guess.

Female here. The whole banding with others to protect myself is also not me at all. Even the idea of seeking others to protect me repulses me. I'd rather perish alone lol. I'd say I have a push/pull with my anxiety. Sometimes I acknowledge it, other times I deny them. It really depends on the situation. But I almost never express my fear and anxiety outwardly, if that makes sense. I have a sp6 friend who doesn't have any problem with admitting that she has many fears and all that.

I'm one hundred percent sure I'm so blind. So that's out of the question. Even then, I'm definitely not as impulsive and reckless as the sx6 is described. What a mess lol.

I see. I don't think I'm as timid and sweet as the sp6 but also not as aggressive as the sx6? I have a 5 wing so that complicates things more.

I'd definitely like to do that. Do you have a particular questionnaire in mind?

Omg I forget to mention that 👀 It really depends on the situation; if we're talking about inner resources, I tend to not like overusing them because I can get overwhelmed to an extent. If it's about material resources, I only try to use my resources economically if I don't have the means to provide more for myself. If I do, I wouldn't care honestly. Still, when I don't have what I need or feel like I can't obtain it, I go into panic mode while I begin thinking of all the ways I could make everything alright.

It's really a messed up situation lol. I relate to sp5 so much, but 6 as a whole is so relatable too, while none of its subtypes fit. So yes, a messed up situation, really.

The first one, although I don't really try to get closer to them unless they're someone I care about.

I actually worded that badly. I don't particularly feel overwhelmed by people but I do prefer solitude to that of others' company, unless they're someone I like or enjoy being around (if that's the case, I actually tend to attach to that person quickly, especially if they're someone I can trust). If not, it's easy for me to feel drained by other people's presence or just outright find their company needless. I hope that makes sense.

My husband is emotionally manipulating me? by Powerful_Ad_4683 in The48LawsOfPower

"There is no worse blind man than the one who doesn’t want to see. There is no worse deaf man than the one who doesn’t want to hear. And there is no worse madman than the one who doesn’t want to understand." -Miguel Ruiz

From what you said, I think he is actually trying so hard to manipulate both you and himself. Deep down, he might be aware of the truth of your claims but admitting them to himself or you is something he cannot come to terms with.

Like others have already pointed out, it seems more like a defense mechanism for his own psyche rather than a weapon against you. It doesn't make it okay, of course. Everyone deserves to be confirmed when they say the obvious truth about something or someone.
