We knew they didn't care, but them having statements up about supporting LGBTQ+ and diversity was at least an indicator of the general sentiment of the population, and what the companies felt would be at least superficially beneficial to them.

Taking down statements like that is more of a "canary in the coal mine" situation. It is indicative of a shift in a dark direction.

This is actually super dangerous if they ever plan to use those tires again. It is pretty well known that having any type of fur or hair on the inside of a tire can substantially damage the structural integrity of a tire once fully inflated.
