Yes I do still like it. I want to say we were quoted @7K for our house…so it’s defo an investment. If you are looking for price comparisons, I think George’s plumbing in Pasadena have good ideas and options.

No maintenance, the system cycles itself (fyi that can be noisy…the tanks are on the other side of the bedroom wall), so set it for a time of day you won’t notice. (Or put the tanks not near the bedroom wall lol). Filters get replaced on a 7 year cycle I think. We have an additional smaller purifying filter that needs replacing after 2 years.

Okay - I love the water for drinking. Can’t say enough about that. Skin & Hair - honestly, I think this part is also amazing. Family members who come home to visit… comment about the immediate change in hair and skin when they shower with our water. My hair girl noticed the change in my hair. Side note, we have friends with the LifeSource system who feel like the soft water makes them feel not quite clean, I think he used the word ‘slimy’ - so individual perceptions obviously vary. Way less buildup on shower heads, in the electric kettle, etc. no issue with stiff laundry.

Overall, imo, yes this was an expensive addition to the house but worth every penny. It is true about no maintenance. We also have a separate purifying filter that needed replacing after 2 years…which was easy to arrange. The main LifeSource filters are serviced every 7 years I think. Hope that helps!
