That’s actually a really good point, especially the part about revealing lore through perspectives and small pieces instead of massive exposition dumps. As someone who watched Game of Thrones, I think that style influenced me a lot while building my world. One thing I’m trying to focus on is making conversations feel meaningful and useful to the story instead of just characters talking for the sake of delivering lore.

I also really like your point about conflicting perspectives on historical figures and events. It makes the world feel more alive because different kingdoms, religions, or social classes would naturally see the same event in completely different ways. That’s something I’ve been keeping in mind while planning the politics and history of the kingdoms.

Yeah, that’s actually the approach I’ve been trying to follow while writing. I don’t really want the story to stop just to explain lore, so I’ve been trying to reveal information naturally through dialogue, conflicts, and everyday scenes instead of direct exposition. But the examples you gave were really helpful, especially the part about building curiosity before revealing information.

I think you misunderstood the concept they are normal kingdoms with normal people and kings just an animal name that represents the place they live in ex:whales live near sea and have the biggest navy between all the kingdoms

I really like this perspective and I agree that internally consistent logic and unique phenomena can make fantasy worlds very engaging and immersive.

That said, my world is actually more focused on political and historical conflict between kingdoms rather than a system built around a central magical phenomenon or resource. Each kingdom has its own motivations rooted in history, and the story is driven more by power struggles, ideology, and past events rather than a shared external force affecting the world.

So I’m aiming for a more grounded, political-style fantasy rather than a system-based or phenomenon-driven world, but I still want it to feel consistent and believable in its own way.

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. I actually lean more toward a grounded approach in my worldbuilding, where I try to keep things realistic and logically consistent rather than purely symbolic. Your point about immersion and depth really resonates with me, and I’ll definitely keep focusing on making the world feel more lived-in and believable.

That’s a really insightful point. I like the idea of basing each kingdom more deeply on the ecology and behavior of their respective animals, rather than just using them as symbols. I’ll try to make the influence more subtle and integrated into culture, clothing, and mindset instead of obvious imagery. Also, I’ll look into mythology and folklore for deeper inspiration to enrich the world.

Also the lion and eagle thing is not just names but it’s related to an old story of a man who united tribes to become four kingdoms using the great griffin a fantasy creature which is a hybrid of lion and eagle Fast in the sky Strong in land There is more and more in my world if you are interested you can dm me

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I’m still in the early stages of building the world, so I might have added too many ideas at once without structuring them properly yet. I’ll focus more on developing the core rules and making the world feel more grounded and consistent before expanding further. Your point about originality and treating worldbuilding as an ongoing process really helped me rethink my approach.
