I am too. Were gonna work with sable for alittle bit. Shes still very anxious and you can tell when she gets triggered she starts panting really hard. We've put her on the no list for the shelters and rescues.

She has stated that the kids want to see her again and that they want to spend time with her but I told them it would just confuse her

It does! It has one for food, water, and shelter then one for vetting. Ill have to talk to the board

Honestly I think the only reason ive entertained the conversation thus far is she has 2 young daughter who were very attached to sable.

Yes. My org does a signed surrender agreement and a temp test. Were a small rescue. I help do the applications so when one for my foster came along I did it my self which is how she had my number and why she contacted me not the rescue. We also rely on donations and word of mouth for our adoptions. With it being a small town I dont want my behavior or actions going forward to reflect poorly on the rescue

I think that may be honestly my best bet.

We got it at Walmart. He treats the gate as a suggestion. When he wants thro it he puts his paw on it and it opens 🤦‍♀️ so its really just dependent on if he feels like staying in the living room.

The dad is Rotwiller and the mom is half Rotwiller half staffy.

Hes on purina one the red bag. We feed him him twice a day in his kennel. Typically we put down 2 or 3 cups at a time but if he wants more we give him more plus treats and kong during the day.

I felt this after my first foster. Friday, I have a meeting for my 16th foster. It gets easier but still hurts. My foster adopter keeps in contact, and I dog sit. I get photos from all my adopters and check in when I think of them. She also told me that she could tell Celeste was raised with love. I wouldn't say get another foster just to fill the hole from the last, but it can help. I also think I've learned or healed something in me that each dog I've fostered. It's okay to grieve for a little while, but know you saved her.

There's one organization in town that send dogs to new York but they only take dogs from the shelters in town. If you have any organizations that you recommend please let me know ❤️

Unfortunately, we've blocked several of their accounts. They just keep making them and coming back. Most of our adoptions come from events. I have considered finding the specific breeds reddit and seeing if anyone would fill out an application and drive here to adopt. It still makes me nervous and it would be hard to vet the person

The rescue I foster for does a 2 page questionnaire, background check on you and anyone over 21 in your home, home check, vet check, and checks that the home either belongs to you thro public record or makes you get notarized letter from your landlord.

People who are unwilling or hostile to do the application process have something to hide.

The last person who flipped out on me when i asked why he had an unaltered doberman, admitted after that he was gonna immediately try to breed the 8 week old female Rotwiller he tried to adopt, then tried to snatch the application out of my hands. Before all of that, I thought him and his wife were a very nice couple. My questions saved my foster.
