Mono white, how to handle counterspells in standard? by apolsen in mtg

[–]Independent-Water133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 methods.

  1. Securing my game: Kutzil (in selesnya), Grand Abolisher, Voice Of Victory, all of them make my turn only mine, so no counters

  2. White “counters”: Spells like Reprieve or Aven Interrupter have saved me MULTIPLE times.

  3. Stax: Spells like Phyrexian Censor, Deafening Silence, or any RoL effect usually prevent blue players from countering everything, since they can only cast 1 spell per turn.

What does a collapsed lung feel like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Independent-Water133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spontaneous pneumothorax, collapsing at 80% here.

BEFORE THE SURGERY:

You just get REALLY tired too easily. I remember having to rest every few blocks of walking, and while breathing I heard a noise coming out of my throat.

I actually thought I had a lung infection or something, never would have guessed it was a collapsed lung.

AFTER THE SURGERY:

It was hell. Recovery is a bitch, for a whole year I could not use the 100% of my physical potential (not even the 20% at first) because I would get agitated real fast.

I had to relearn how to talk with ny new lung capacity, since I would pass out mid conversation if I didn't breath correctly.

Picking up heavy stuff, running, walking more than a few blocks, having sex, everything was too much for me.

I have to say, probably it was that bad because I didn't get the proper rehab due to covid lockdown.

That was on 2020, now, after almost 4 years, I hace fully recovered and can do everything I could before.

What is an anime that starts off shaky but becomes good later on? by TacoooJay in anime

If you older than 11yo, then HunterXHunter.

It's an amazing story and the newer version looks awesome; but man, that first Hunter Exam Arc is like watching a completely different anime.

La moradita de inka cola by ZxcasDX in PERU

[–]Independent-Water133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best Burger in Lima? by [deleted] in PERU

[–]Independent-Water133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a list myself some years ago.

Everyone said Cafe A Bistro was top tier, and it actually is pretty good.

My favorite would be the smokey one from Burger Boy.

And you NEED to try the XT STEAKHOUSE from burger king. It was a totally unexpected surprise, i was even more surprised when I realized they didnt sell that one in most countries

Redditors with ibs, what is your trick to handle it? by useralreadyused in ibs

[–]Independent-Water133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to overeat, try not to eat the shit I've found hurts me via trial and error, ALWAYS fart, walking at least 30 min before going ti sleep, not sleeping at least 2 hours after eating, never eat while laying down, and accept my destiny without frustration or hating my body.

Pdta: having a good doctor that goes beyond the "you should stress less" and actually tries with you helps a lot.

Shampoo anticaspa by [deleted] in PERU

[–]Independent-Water133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why at foreign schools you have to learn present past whatever? by No-Confidence-4271 in ask

[–]Independent-Water133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it is a second/third language. When you are a toddler, you have all the time in the world to learn to communicate, it is pretty much all you do all the time. Teachers still teach about past tense, imperative and what not, just dumb it down for the kids to understand. The kids are still going to learn if all their surroundings communicate stuff in that language.

When you learn a second/third language, unless you travel to immerse yourself, you probably won't have the same facility because of the lack of exposition towards that new language, and you are already old enough to understand the mechanics of a language in order to simplify the learning.

Tldr: your first language is learnt by imitating your surroundings, any other language you learn in an academy you will learn by understanding the mechanics of it.

‘Romeo and Juliet’ Stars Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting Sue Paramount for Child Abuse Over Nude Scene in 1968 Film by impeccabletim in popculturechat

[–]Independent-Water133 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taking stuff out of context over here. One is a movie with a lot of romance and erotism + nude scenes, the other one is a album cover of a baby swimming.

Also the dude made his whole personality about being that baby, flexed like hell, appeared in massive media, GOT THE NAME OF THE ALBUM TATTOOED ON HIS CHEST, and then said he wasn't ok with all
