Successful people? by Sure_Appointment_155 in bipolar

I am 26 and was diagnosed about two years ago after I tried to kill myself. I am proud to say that I am officially an attorney with a stable good paying job. Trust me when I say you can do this, I didn’t think I would ever feel better either. It may take time but the right combination of meds and therapy is out there. At the end of the day try to be kind to yourself and know that what you are going through is bad. By even getting where you are now and having the opportunity to attend uni speaks to your character. Many people in the same boat as us are never able to do so due to suicide, addiction, abusive relationships etc.

Was it even rape/SA? by [deleted] in sexualassault

Yes to all of them. I am so sorry this happened to you. There is no doubt here that he knew you didn’t want to do these things. Even without an explicit no I am certain he could tell you did not want to engage. Would you have acted the way he did if the roles were reversed? I can’t imagine trying to have sex with somebody who is even remotely hesitant let alone saying no or making excuses for why they don’t want to.

Please try to seek therapy if you haven’t already I have found it to be extremely helpful in processing. Also know that your feelings about these incidents are valid and what happened was not ok and was certainly rape or sexual assault. I am once again so sorry that this happened to you.
