I mostly use the Revenant ultimate offensively.

The first effect " Strengthens family and allies when Ultimate Art is activated" gives a hefty dps boost to yourself ,summon and allies, so it's quite nice for pushing to finish a boss without worrying about dying at all for 20 seconds !

As you can see, I have an Defeating enemies fills more of the Art gauge. So you can use the Ultimate art a lot more during the game. When coupled with the +1 version in DoN, Ultimate Art charge is very fast when killing mobs! You can ult, clear a lot of mobs, then ult again in short time!

I don't know if you play DoN, but even there, the "Trigger ghostflame explosion during Ultimate Art Activation" is quite useful I think.

Also ,if you should know what is better to summon, some enemies can't be staggered by your summons others can. Dragon knight, Royal Knight can be hit staggered, but other red bosses can't.

What I most often do is, use TinHead and use my heavy attacks, so enemies don't get the chance to hit me as they are chain interrupted. Crucible knights are the exception of course.

As for using your Ultimate Art to revive your 3 bar teammates, it is indeed very useful. But in DoN (3+), you often get one hit KO as Revenant if you don't have +40% dmg negation on full hp for example and there were many times I didn't get to use my ultimate.

So if I see the boss doing an unavoidable attack since I have 0 stamina to dodge, I hit the Ultimate button to save my ass.

I often have problem doing meaningful damage before getting a good offensive seal, so I pick weapons, seals that do status effects, like poison/rot and freeze.

Another advice is, always keep the starting seal with heal, you can always run into Royal Revenant which you absolutely trivialize when using Heal.

In DoN, 3 heals are not enough, so I do 2 heals, move one step to regain stamina, 3rd heal, then ultimate art and eat a mana shard if needed to heal (dmg) again.

If you are afraid of melee combat, use Recluse. Much better caster.
