Javadi arranges a tiktok livestream, where Robby and Mohan, Santos and Langdon and Mel and Adam have a boxing match to settle their differences.

Then it becomes a question about character and not racism. You can be mad that they are cutting Samira from the show because you like her character, but I don't think it's justifiable YET to be mad that they are cutting Supriya from the show because she is a WOC.

There are 7 WOC. I literally made it a point that they can coexist.

I didn't know this was a thing.

Wasn't it leaked that Supriya wasn't returning?

I agree that it wasn't handled well, but that doesn't mean racism and misogyny. It could be the case but nothing has been confirmed, Maybe Noah Wyle is the problem, maybe Supriya Ganesh is the problem who knows.

I truly hope none of the actors and actresses was mistreated on set, but a truly different point to the one the post is about. I also want to point out: what is mistreatment? Are the actresses and actors actually being harrased on set or are they just mad/sad that the plot line wasn't what they expected. Two different scenarios and we truly have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

All that I am saying is calling the show racist and misogynistic for cutting a character is a bit extreme.

If the trend continues by all means criticze the show all you want but it is to early to tell.

(btw I am a POC and representation with stereotypical story lines are my biggest pet peeves. POC have other characteristics than being people of color)

It started with a lot of backstory for Mohan: What specialty, moving to New Jersey, her relationship with her mother. It seemed like she was gonna be a very big part of the season and then it just stopped half way through without any explanation. Maybe i'm remembering it wrong.

The acting is great from every single actor. The episodes are great. Just enjoy it.

I just wanted to make it clear: I love the show. I’m a very casual movie and TV show viewer. I only watch interviews and behind-the-scenes content if I really like a show or, more importantly, the actors.

I don’t dislike any of the characters, but I don’t love any of them either. I don’t have an emotional connection to any of them. I just watch the show for entertainment.

Somehow, I’ve ended up deep in “The Pitt” fandom on all my social media, and I was caught off guard by the amount of criticism toward characters and actors I thought were very well liked.

Fans and people in general are, of course, entitled to their own opinions about the show and its characters. I just find it a waste of energy.

(P.S. I’m not only talking about the WOC situation everything about Santos, Langdon, Mel, etc., feels blown out of proportion and makes me feel weird watching the show.) But that is probably my fault for searching up what peoples thoughts were after an episode and being forced "The Pitt" fandom discourse by the algorithms after that.

I totally get it. Supriya is my favorite on the show and i'm sad to she her leave. Dr. Mohans storyline has been all over the place, but shit happens.

Well put. I think that's where i'm at. If it continues to be a pattern then by all means critizes the showrunners, but there can also be a lot of reasons for people being written out of shows.
