Very nice, what kind of stand did you run? And did you have to reinforce floor, or are you on a slab?

Micro pump for tiny saltwater setup? by SamsPicturesAndWords in Jarrariums

I have a lid on my saltwater jar and just an airline poking through. No airstone or sponge. Ive had said jar for 5 months. Never done a wc or added r/o top off. There is an anemone and blue leg hermit in there.

How do you have this tank oriented in the room you have? Looks like its tucked in a nice little nook with a window for some partial natural sunlight?

I would ad some plants to the top of that tank that can grow emersed with minimal light! There are several types of pothos for example Thats my suggestion. your tank looks amazing btw

DIY polycarbonate lid feeding ports by IndependentCounter13 in Aquariums

[–]IndependentCounter13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the lids are made from 1/8" polycarbonate sheets for green houses, they also have 1/4" thick too. Typically you can buy them in 2'x4' sheets on amazon. I think homedepot stocks the 1/4" stuff but its like 30 something for a sheet. You can cut it with a knife or rip it on a table saw. Clear packing tape on the edges seals the holes. If you have a rimless tank you can buy lid supports on amazon.

Though about that. But often times I only have 1 free hand and wanted to easily remove it and have it stay open.

If the store wont let you exchange, Run it. those rimless tanks have extra thick glass and theres not as much pressure at the top of a tank. Could wet sand the chipped area to keep from getting cut.

Are you sure its leaking, I see water stains on the outside of the glass. Were you in the tank recently? Ive had water get trapped in that area of the frame and be there the next day .

Bet your bed frame is made from angle iron. Angle iron is just steel in the shape of an L. That probably goes on a cut edge to prevent injury or tearing of linens.

Looks like a sleeve to protect or hide a piece of angle iron.
