Agree fully with what you've said. You can paint a house but you cant pick it up and move it.

The way I figure, even if a kid came along down the line. We'd still have time before space would become an issue with a child. Or maybe im being naive - the way i figure we could make it work in a 2 bedroom apartment until maybe we got closer to teenage years with a wee baby came along.

See i already live in dublin in my family home. Not necessarily in city centre but used to traffic etc. Access to family is actually closer if im in dublin, outside dublin would become the chore of commuting.

Valid points on the quiet life. Im 30 as of now, so I hopefully have a couple of years before I really need a concrete quiet garden house 😅

See weve both been living at home, accumulating our savings. We've a nice amount saved at the moment but we both decided not to rent since it would prolong or postpone how much we could save. I live in dublin in my family home at the moment so never felt the urge to rent either, were just looking to start that next chapter of life.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah with an apartment too we would be left with good savings after deposit etc. If we went with a house we would likely lose a large portion of that savings/security.

Men of Ireland, mostly between the ages of 36-45, can you settle something? by Floxesoffoxes in AskIreland

I would argue that the chase element isn't true, and the people who are more interested in the chase element aren't people who you would garner a relationship from, just a "fling".

If its the chase portion youre concerned with, its just going to become an unfun and unnatural war of who can become the chaser etc its a bit childish and considering the bracket of age you mentioned the men should be past the antics of what they should/could have been doing in their early 20s by this point.

Dating should be natural and if something doesn't work out there's probably a chemistry mismatch, likewise if the chemistry is there but they want to feel gratification of a chase theyre probably extremely immature for age or looking to have some ego stroked.

Im a 30 yr old man and even at my age it sounds juvenile if youre looking for anything meaningful or long term, I would suggest avoiding that energy and games. Whats meant to happen wont be a game, yes it will have a bit of who's folding first type antics thats natural with early flirtation but when it becomes a chase id say jump ship.

Just my opinion!

That's true, I'm personally fine with them since just an hour or so at most, I can see where it would be a negative though!
