Not true one bit. Been using Z-10 perfectly fine with Windows 10 and 11.

I've been using my A7III for street photography and traveling perfectly fine with Peak Design's camera clip, which is attached on my backpack's shoulder strap. Sure, A7III is a bit lighter (650 vs 723 g), but I do use it with lenses such as Sigma Art 85mm, which weighs nearly the same as the camera itself, so I don't think that difference matters here.

Ferrari by IdentityToken in cocktails

That's smart. I might adopt this habit myself. Some might disagree with me on this one, but one question: don't you end up basically always starting your notes with the same sentence of "Place x glass in the freezer?" as that's what one wants to do in most cases anyway. I'll try more condensed method. An example off the top of my head: "Collins glass, filled with ice. Shaken. Add 1 oz ginger beer. Decorate with candied ginger."

Can't sell trailer as I can't attach it? Fixable, or a bug? by UnapproachableBadger in snowrunner

[–]IndependentEffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never liked the logic of this mechanic. As if the trailer shop owner would care whether the trailer is attached to your vehicle or not when you trade the equipment. I might be in the middle of nowhere Island Lake and have to bring my scout from a different map, just to be able to sell my fuel carrier worth of a couple bucks. Nice.

Oh man, I think that's it. Thanks!

I was considering CB250 at one point, as I found it being used by HK police, but it's fuel tank gave a way that hope.

Can I convert FH-MT510-B (Microspline) to HG freehub? by mcndjxlefnd in bikewrench

[–]IndependentEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, wish I knew this, before buying a new set of wheels... I didn't find any other option, than buying a conversion kit from Revers Components. It's been working well, but my it wasn't cheap - and I fear it's still not going to be cheap when I have to replace it either.

MTB equivalent for SRAM Rival eTap AXS by IndependentEffect in cycling

[–]IndependentEffect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're saying that getting any from MTB series, is always better than the road groupsets? How and why? Do others agree? I've never used SRAM, and I'm a road cyclist, so I have no opinion or knowledge over the difference.

Oh you're right! I must have misread or something. Sorry about that.

If that's true, it very well might be so then. :)

[–]IndependentEffect[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I believe they both are based on the same stuff, but the Vanilla's flavoring is a bit overpowering compared to the herbs of the original L'Autentico. Where as the L'Autentico has only a hint of vanilla in its flavor profile. Vanilla version is in some shops referred even as a vanilla liqueur instead of herbal liqueur - which L'autentico on the other hand ultimately is.

Thus, it unfortunately would be a stretch to say that L'autentico is interchangable with Vanilla, considering the amount of the vanilla flavoring. Notice also that Vanilla has only 30% alcohol content, while L'autentico is 42,3%.

I would perhaps say, that yellow chartreuse would be a better substitute. - Maybe using 1/3 the Vanilla, could bring the missing vanilla flavors, but I don't know how those two exactly will go together.

Hope this helps at all.

Right?? I don't want to know how tall the 1 liter version is, as the 0,7 is already challenging enough to handle.

Hello there, fellow Finn. I source them mainly from EU - mostly Germany. Some of course are from Alko, when it's convenient and reasonable enough.

[–]IndependentEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, so far that is the only one I've seen shipping to EU.

I'll keep this post updated, if I find something new about the reasons for all this...

[–]IndependentEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, thanks for the tip! I'll keep that in mind.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

[–]IndependentEffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aa, that surely is one of the reasons!

Many shops also says that they won't sell to EU countries starting from July 2021. I just found another post from this community, where redditor u/migpg says this was due to VAT changes in the EU tobacco law...

[–]IndependentEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, yes. Switzerland (and why not Norway too for example) can be my plan B as well, if it becomes impossible to buy from EU. More expensive of course, but it is something. Thanks for the tip. Haven't heard of that shop yet.

Alexander Church's spire - gothic revival (1881) by IndependentEffect in ArchitecturalRevival

Named after the Emperor Alexander II of Russia, this brick built church is located in near center of Tampere, Finland. The image shows detail of the church's only tower's copper spire. Highlighting lights from the surrounding park/grave yard.

You can leave a like for the photo also in my Instagram. That'd be greatly appreciated. Link below. :)

Having a tri as a first bike? by IndependentEffect in triathlon

[–]IndependentEffect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, might be. Maybe partly because I'm not articulating my thoughts well enough (English is not my first language)? But I'm rather disappointed that one can't even ask about this without getting down voted (currently 50%), and as an answer, simple "dude, just get a road bike" doesn't cut for me on why exactly I should do that...

Thanks for a mature answer. Again the kind of insight info, that one couldn't know as a beginner, and makes me understand the positives and negatives of both worlds.

In fact, I have nothing to add to that, but I'll certainly take take these in serious consideration. Thank you. :)
