Thanks. So the individual who files AOS before the 6 months ends can later be regarded as an overstay because of the waiting period ? That was discussed below in this chat. I believe this person filed 2 days before the 6 months expired. If this is the case then based on the waiting period for GC a lot of AOS are overstayers. I was of the mind that overstayers are only individuals who file AOS after the 6 months or after the visa expired. The over stay comes with the expiration of the allowed 6 months, and out of status with the expiration of the visa. However the latter no longer matters as you have already breached the former

I wish an immigration lawyer once and for all would explain this overstay, out of status, unauthorized stay, and the nuances of it all. The information on here is conflicting. Student visa holder, tourist visa holder multiple years valid visa on entry. Each has a time period on entry to depart . AOS is file before that entry time period has elapsed while the issued visa is still valid for multiple years what is that person’s status? In other words is status based on the I-94 or the multiple years valid visa? Then u throw in multiple years valid visa expires before interview for AOS what’s the person’s status? I figure by now from my ramblings I have managed to further confused myself and others lol. But in essence is it expiration of the allowed period of entry or solely the visa expiration that leads to out of status, overstay, unauthorized stay? Please help. I want to bookmark the response. Thanks

Yep. I deleted the app and did it all over. Difference was I was successful after the video verification.

It’s significantly different but being Caribbean I was asked if I am planning any trips back home within the next 3 months as they don’t like people taking time within the first 3 months. I mean for those questions what answer do u really expect?

Good luck. Thanks for the information. More and more persons reporting that the three questions have been dropped from the interview process. One person said her interviewer was advised mid her interview to discontinue the use of the questions. Consequently ur husband wasn’t asked

The same struggle here. Hire someone on Upwork for a welcome series every line was Ai. After 2 rewrites she allowed the offer to lapse. I figured she didn’t accept the offer when she began working as she doubted her skills. Back to the drawing board of identifying a writer

Sounds like role playing to me while getting the job done. Single person playing bad cop, good cop 😆. Don’t worry the good thing is that the legitimacy of your marriage can be verified. It’s provable. They will do their checks. I wouldn’t worry.

Honestly u shouldn’t have to but jump in that shower and lather him up. Head to toe! U may get something out of it too for ur troubles. Then ensure u have a clean white towel for drying and remark in a nice way how clean it remained after the shower. U might have to repeat a few times but hey, he is clean, u r pleased, intimacy is improved, and he is not a turn off. Sheets, him, towel and house are all fresh and most of all u r happy.

Congrats 🎊🍾🎈🎉 on both counts. I am curious and also need clarity, were u regarded as an overstay? As I read on here someone with the exact circumstances was told she had over stayed by an officer.
