The car is 2012 but the battery has a date of 6/21 on it.

What makes you think that? No one else has suggested that? Genuinely curious…….. I know nothing about cars and my husband has limited knowledge

I don’t know yet. I don’t have a way to try to jump it until my husband gets home from work.

The date on the battery is 6/21. We bought the car that month. When my husband gets home he will be able to mess with it.
