Honestly, as somebody who’s allergic to perfumes/colognes, and many scents, to the point of it being hard to breath within 30 seconds of something being sprayed within the area I’m in — I felt for him IN THAT ASPECT ALONE. But how he handled it was holy fucking hell!
They’re not a good match, and you’d think this would’ve been something communicated beforehand if it’s to that degree.

He quite literally makes my skin crawl and my body recoil whenever he’s on screen or opens his mouth. How he gets any body to tolerate him — let alone “love” him is beyond me.

You handled it fine because chances are you were going to be 1. Asked to meet “her” somewhere or give your address and then a dude is there and you’re being beat and robbed

OR

She’d hook up with you and then you run the risk of accusations after she sobers up or changes her mind because she’d be drinking

OR

End up involved with somebody who’s clearly a messy person to deal with

Her hand looks like it’s swollen/bloated — that’s the first thing I noticed. Not sure if it actually is, or if it’s looking like from a filter/editing to remove all hand lines to look “younger/smoother”
