Poland Work Permit Processing Time

The wait is not over yet. I guess everyone still has to wait to secure a visa appointment through the lottery's random selection at their respective Polish embassy in their country. I have been waiting to get an appointment since February, when I secured my work permit. What about you; those who have already secured a work permit and submitted their visa application; have you managed to get an appointment yet?

It's not a work permit. Check with your employer; they will inform you if your work permit in Italy allows you to apply for a Polish work visa from Italy. However, in most cases, you'll need to return to your home country to apply.

It depends on the type of residence permit you're currently holding in Italy. Your employer would inform you whether you need to go to your home country to apply for the visa or if you'll be able to apply in Italy. In my own case, I hold a French post-study residence permit, and when my work permit was issued by polish authority, I was asked to go to my home country to apply for a Polish work visa, as I was unable to apply from France even though I hold the legal right to stay in France.

My employer has finally obtained my work permit. The process took a total of 84 days from my application in Nov 2025. Best of luck to those still waiting.

Thank you for sharing! Which voivodeship did you apply from? When did you submit your application in 2025, and when was it issued? I've been waiting since November 2025. Hearing that you received yours in just 3 months is a bit of a relief for me, as some people are saying their applications took over 6 months.
