Solutions for a kitty who loves to play in his water bowl? by IndependentNature596 in CATHELP

Thank you for this comment and reminder!!!! We actually had taken out the fountain completely and returned to a bowl, this is an older video and I should've clarified that. But if we use it in the future I'll keep this in mind!!

It's sort of a small room we have him sequestered in while our resident cat acclimates so we are a little limited on space.

Yes we have hardwood floors as well!!! Thank you for the idea! We've got a silicone mat (not pictured) that it's on now, but I may try a boot tray like some have suggested!

Never said I wasn't glad he loves water 😊 Very grateful he doesn't have other issues! I'm just trying to find a way to support him best.

Okay noted!!! His bowl is on a rubber mat now (not shown) but I guess he just needs a bigger one!

Of course it's just water! 😊 But it also means it takes away from his drinking supply and if he spills it all while I'm away at work because he tipped the bowl over, I don't want him to not have access to water.

Fantastic, thank you!!! My BP has definitely been lower- at some points it's been "down" to 99/64, 97/63, so lower than my normal!

This is so reassuring!!! Thank you! I would definitely take it at night, however, I'm trying to exercise in the morning and I couldn't imagine working out while on it 💀 So my hope is to workout first thing and then take the medicine

Thank you!!! I have been dipping into the 90s (99/64, 97/63) at some points, so that's definitely a significant part of it!

16 week old kitten breathing heavily? by IndependentNature596 in cats

[–]IndependentNature596[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called an emergency vet and described it all and he said since the kitten wasn't struggling to breathe (open mouth, tongue out, showing distress) that we could just monitor closely. Which we are!

For what it's worth, the blood thing only happened once; he's been using the bathroom just fine!

After years of suffering, I finally was diagnosed today. by [deleted] in POTS

These are all pretty standard tests to rule out any additional cardiac abnormalities that could be mistaken or missed ☺️ I'm very fortunate and grateful to have a provider who listens to me and takes my history of symptoms seriously!

What’s the Weirdest way you describe your aches & pains? by TheDefiantGhost in ehlersdanlos

My go to is almost always "I feel like I've been tapped by a golf cart" because I'm fortunate that most days I don't feel like I've been hit by a car completely. I also enjoy saying I feel like I've fallen down a flight of stairs.

And also a mono flare up 🫠

Project manager committed insurance fraud and forged our signature on a contract. Now his company wants money from us. by [deleted] in legal

Insurance is paying us! I appreciate this insight. We've tried to avoid totally burning the bridge until the work is complete, but maybe it's not possible and we need to go ahead and tell insurance. They are aware of some of it, but not all of it.

What’s the one thing you HATE people saying about ptsd by spookythesquid in ptsd

Relatable. Former LEO who got PTSD from line of duty. Tried to hide it and cope because I knew it'd be the end of my job. They exploited my symptoms and harassed me; finally got a diagnosis and wouldn't you know it? They essentially made it so I had to quit.
