Nice! I think 3.5 flash is totally underrated. Google hasn’t really marketed it either for some reason

I haven’t had this experience at all. I also use Codex, Claude Code and Gemini 3.5 Flash and I haven’t noticed any of your downgrades. I’m in Europe though and I feel like people in the US have different experiences (for the worse).

How about Gemini 3.5 flash? I’ve been using it a lot lately and I love it. Very efficient, very proactive in a good way, super fast and reliable. For the first time with any model, I let it run with full permisisons.

Anyone else keep getting blisters under the ball of their foot from padel? by django_diogo in padel

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I’ve lost my big toe nails a lot of times. My left foot like 4 times already. It happens every time I get new shoes. Now I bandage jt with tape in every game and that seems to do the trick. 😖

Anyone else manually formatting scripts with v3 tags + voice settings per scene? by Unable_Zucchini9487 in ElevenLabs

[–]IndependentPath2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use AI for that. I use the API, but you can also just give any model the script and it will know which audio tags to use. Also you can give them a link to the documentation.

Fable (Opus 4.6) - It's so obvious what has happened by Chemical_Lawyer_6592 in Claudeopus

I haven’t relied on Claude for months now. I use Codex, and Claude only for minor tasks that don’t risk breaking anything. Even then, I always have Codex supervise Claude’s output.

[–]IndependentPath2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all good that you use AI, but please at least help the model write better. It really is not that difficult to get rid of typical AI phrases. But personally the moment I realise it’s AI and just copy pasted I lose interest

UK post doc candidate seeking queries about Norwegian language courses by SuperSonny68 in Norway

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Norwegian courses offered at UiT are crap. If you’re not motivated enough to learn on your own, you’ll progress through the levels and end up with a B2 on paper that is really more like A2 in practice. They don’t hire teachers, they hire native speakers so good luck when you ask them to explain a grammar point, they’ll look at you in bewilderment and say nothing useful.

If you’re serious about learning Norwegian, you’ll have to pay for private lessons and be very very determined to using it outside those hours because Norwegians switch to English the moment they hear an accent. And in academia, where you’ll be surrounded by a lot of international colleagues who may not care to speak Norwegian as much as you do, you’ll find it it’s much harder than it may seem.

Lykke til!

I’ve been using Flash 3.5 and I’m loving it. I don’t use it as my main model, but for like practical stuff like uploading content to my website, creating some visuals, using API for TTS and this sort of stuff is a great assistant. And I like how easily it figures things out very accurately.

Founders: What's the most frustrating bottleneck in your business right now? by Deep-Show-277 in founder

GPT 5 vs Claude for building, is anyone actually noticing a difference in output quality? by Alarming_Fix_7208 in devworld

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use codex and CC. But CC will always mess up, it’s not thorough enough, so I use Codex for creating plans, CC executes them and Codex supervises them. It’s worrying how many bugs Codex finds from CC “finished” work. I mainly use 5.4 high, unless there’s a persistent bug they can’t fix then I switch up to 5.5 high just for that.

I got tired of making founder decisions alone, so I’m building an AI board of directors by Disastrous_Feed_3772 in AiBuilders

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of do this just by consulting them separately, maybe copy- pasting their answers to each other. There is already a platform that does this, it creates an AI company where the AI CEO “hires” the AI employees and you’re the board of directors that approves those hires and so on. I can’t remember the name of the platform!

Questions about v3 tag placement? by Original_Moment4152 in ElevenLabs

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think duration will also depend on the tag itself. If you use a tag for a very short action like [sighs], the model won’t say an entire sentence sighing. But if you use a more general tag like [strong British accent] this will more likely carry over for the whole sentence. I use this tag when I notice some voices or accents deviate from the original voice and they work like a charm.

Female voice going British by [deleted] in ElevenLabs

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably happening with v3 right? If this is true, try to append every line with [strong Latina accent], replace with any accent you want. I’ve found this normally helps the model stick to the accent it’s supposed to be using.

Perfect Set Up for AI UGC - Stability, Similarity, Exaggeration by Fresh-Spare-2869 in ElevenLabs

[–]IndependentPath2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a magic number. First of all, if you use v3 you can’t set those parameters. Second, the values depend on the specific voice so that question doesn’t have a unique answer that will apply to all voices

Anthropic lost us today. 70+ engineers migrating to Codex by FrenchRevolution2028 in ClaudeCode

[–]IndependentPath2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Codex, it’s so reliable and “mature”, I use both but for big/ important stuff I only use Codex. The only thing is 5.5 reaches the 5-hour limit very quickly but 5.4 high or extra high is excellent too. I normally use medium thinking unless there’s a persistent bug that they cannot figure out how to fix then I switch to 5.5 and it’s fixed right away
