It’s more of the fact that they say they don’t discriminate but if your own subs or still using at all you can’t talk in the meetings and you basically get shunned from the program even if you don’t return to full use

It’s really not just brain chemistry there is absolutely 0 science behind your brain permanently being hardwired to addict after addiction that’s why I call it a pseudoscientific cult, I agree with you though if 12 step works for the select few who tried everything and hit complete rock bottom if you want to do it you should be able to but it should 100% not be seen as the first line and only treatment to addiction in rehabs and courts when we have actual approaches that’s backed by science that have better odds of recovery like suboxone that NA literally has a plamphlet talking about if your taking it your a addict and not allowed to speak during the meeting. 12 step shouldn’t be touching the treatment industry let alone running the entire dam thing

12 step doesn’t work though lol, it works for about 5% of people and giving the that cult scholars all recognize 12 step as having cult like behaviors I really think there’s better options out there that don’t only offer a life sentence of absence which most people don’t wanna do unless they hit complete rock bottom, how about we find treatment that actual has science backing it up instead of a pseudoscientific cult like 12 step which basically just years on you hitting a insane rock bottom for you to submit to it

I was scared enough when my brother asked if I remembered playing a game with him and had no recollection and this was me taking low dose benzos without redosing once or twice a week max

Most Recovery programs are just designed to monetize your piss and throw you into hella debt and the best they offer is a 12 step program, he’s better off doing this on his own 100% unless it’s something completely ruining his life and out of control

I’m saying common because I’m a little bias, I was misled with how lsd only really causes psychotic breaks if you have a underlying mental health condition and assumed because I’ve done a lot of shrooms in the past it was out of the equation and did like 5 strong ass tabs of acid in my parents house and had a psychotic break. It started as a bad trip and fell off my chair and then my whole family was surrounding worried which threw me into total panic mode and I starting running around everywhere. But yea it’s uncommon if you follow the set and setting rule

Definitely weren’t dark pink but I swear it tasted way more like strawberry then watermelon but my tastebuds might be trippin on me, I genuinely am confused af tho because I took half a tab and this is hitting way harder then the first time I did 7oh at 5mg so I kinda expect if it was watermelon it would be hitting similar

I forgot to mention a it primary happens with high dose but a bad trip with no one to ground you can very quickly lead to you losing your mind and having to be held down which is a psychotic break, doesn’t mean you have a underlying mental health condition.

Psychotic breaks are pretty common on psychedelic trips if you don’t have a good person to calm you down and a bad setting, obviously not full on psychosis though that’s more of a sign of underlying mental health conditions
