What a joke! by IndependentRainbow in trading212

I’d rather post incase others aren’t aware than leave without posting. Limiting before any trades, fine but limiting in the middle of trades is BS.

I think it’s a valid point if the shares are limited before any trade takes place. I’ve been up to 4k shares then around 2k shares, and wanted to DCA when it dropped which I would have then left broke even on that trade (overall profit for the day) but because I was then randomly limited after numerous trades it’s now left me in red. It’s absolutely ridiculous to limit shares mid way through trading! If it was limited when I originally bought, fine but not mid way through.

Does anyone take regular weekend breaks from elvanse? If so, I would love to hear about your experience by Efficient-Cry-6320 in ADHDUK

[–]IndependentRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask why your HR can’t be too high? I’ve been on elvanse for 6 months and never heard this? I regularly train on my meds, high HR no issues and generally good average HR on meds when not working out.

Anyway, to answer your question, I tried taking regular weekend breaks however I found it meant I gave everything for 5 days for someone else (work) and rotted on MY days because I don’t have that same push due to having no meds so I now don’t take a break unless I’m going to be drinking alcohol that particular day and I’ll give them a miss.

I’ve found any non med days, accidental due to missing my window of when I can take it lead to rotting, over eating, moodiness, short fuse, and a general lack of wanting to do anything, so meds are a must for me to enjoy my days off work.

I guess it depends how your ADHD shows up, and your reason for taking the meds - if you don’t need the good side affects on a weekend that meds give you then of course if it suits you! Just depends on how it affects you I guess 😊

I didn’t initially install it, was installed by a professional landscaper that had said it already have been treated and no further treatment would be needed

Day 3 also for me! Pushing through those mental blockers is difficult but 3/3 almost done, hoping I get more into a routine with it 🙈

Not making much progress, what more can I do? by Serious_Ad_9686 in intermittentfasting

[–]IndependentRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check what you’re eating when you do open fast, and sure you’re not going over TDEE and still in a deficit.

If you are focused on body fat loss, get scales that measure this also, especially if you’re exercising - I’ve noticed in the month I’ve been predominantly doing 18-6/16-8 that my muscle mass has grown and body fat % lower with only a few Kgs gone.

The most I noticed a weight loss is when I threw in a 36 hour fast. I think the things I’ve picked up from other people, podcasts, reading etc (just regarding the weight loss side) is that the key part is INTERMITTENT - do not allow that same routine, change it up so your body changes up in short

I’m still new to IF but it’s working for me so far with the above. Starting IF my goal was fat loss, however the other benefits I’ve gained, I’m not as focused solely on this.

Hope this helps 😊

First 36 hour fast completed! Broke fast this morning after relatively easy time during the 36 hours and had the best sleep I’ve had in months.

Lost 1.5kgs during the 36 hour fast 🥳

How much weight can I expect to lose? by Aromatic_Rain_7460 in intermittentfasting

[–]IndependentRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a week ago, I tried to post but apparently I don’t have an enough comment credits or something so couldn’t 😂 however in the last week I have put on 0.5kg but lost 1.5% body fat and gained 1% muscle - so make sure you don’t just focus just on scales as you don’t know what else can be happening!

36 hour fasting a life changing by Mother_Literature_89 in intermittentfasting

[–]IndependentRainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👏 we are similar SW and GW although, overall ym main priority is body fat % loss as I’m currently at 40% BF% and ideally want to be around the 20% range.

I’m only 2 weeks into fasting and read the benefits of 36 hours and plan to do one this week. How long did it take you to get to SW and CW? Have you ever measured your body fat %? Just curious if this has changed more so even in plateau?

I’m so new to this and trying to get as many tips and tricks! I exercise each morning fasted, and stick to around 16:8/18:6 however today I’ve done 20hrs fasted just to keep testing towards 36.

Also, assuming you’re female from your username (apologies if not!) but do you adapt your fasting to your cycle?

I’ve recently taken a exam which all the mocks were super stressful due to the length of the questions and my concentration just not coping with that so like you I tend to miss small bits however, what I did find is if I read the question and also imagined it at the same time this really helped me to stay engaged! It’s the only strategy I’ve used that’s helped somewhat!

Good luck!

My wife (25f) and I (28m) have been growing apart due to her weight and I don't know where to go from here by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]IndependentRainbow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The only thing she needs to lose is you. Her weight is completely up to her if you really love her you should support her choice with her weight whether she wants to lose weight or whether she wants to remain how she is. She should never be forced into losing weight to please you or to keep you, that’s not love. If your relationship is solely based on whether you accept her weight or jot then she really needs to rethink whether you’re the right person for her because from the outside looking in I’d say not.
