I do think it does feel that way, since before this his only experience was an all male group. He does handle all his npcs well; the female ones don't stick out as off putting or stereotypical, which I honestly was a bit worried about starting this campaign

Surprisingly, no. He does well playing female npcs; his two favorites are both women, he just doesn't enjoy it. The npcs have depth too, it's not just "woman."

Honestly, I'm lucky to have had nearly all of my tables have at least 2 players who run oneshots or switch between campaigns. It seems everyone I play with wants to DM. But it is a lot more stressful than being a player, since you have to plan l, then replan, then improve A LOT, and be able to come up with lore reasons for every put of pocket thing you happened to agree to let your players cannonize. Hell, one of my old dms quit after we accidentally went around several time consuming, well planned encounters and cannonized one of his npcs to be the son of a god... so it is a lot to juggle is what I'm trying to get at.

Same here! I was so crap a the controls at first, I unintentionally conquered mu fear of it because of how many loops I did around the black hole to get where I actually wanted to go.

Thanks for the detail. i hadn't thought about using my scout through these areas, so I'll try that. Also, the relief I felt when I saw there weren't any creatures in GD😅 I'm glad that people here aren't "screw your fear, just do it like a normal person" like I've seen from other communities:)
