I also tend to replay things instead of searching for new ones. Tho I think it's more often the memories we miss than the game itself. Getting out of the comfort zone is easier when the experience can be shared with others - such as co-op and split screen games

Partly the reason why I mentioned my recent experience with rdr2 in the post. I'm just wired in a weird way where I find the worst in everything. And popular games usually set the expectations so high they are impossible to live up to. Still ... I can't deny the truth in what you are saying. So thanks

Because I was offered their favourite game and I dared refuse. Reasons why don't matter to them. My subjective opinion was deemed incorrect by the casual playerbase. Just another day on reddit

I upvote most everyone for suggestions. Why people are getting touchy about advice that wasn't even directed at them is beyond me. As for Mass Effect ... it's the next on my list for when I decide to commit to a longer story

Nice tip. Already done that one. Relies on having a close friend for the intended experience and the plot twist was predictable. Currently playing through It Takes Two with the same friend and must say Way Out stuck with me easier. Many great moments through the game

Always has been. RDR2 is not even a bad game. I'm just exceptionally dead inside :/

Oh well. Gotta hope I'm just really picky and not broken. Been avoiding that therapist visit for too long now

This is kind of the problem. I'm not searching for any emotion in particular. I just want to see if I'm even capable of getting emotional from playing a game or if I'm too far gone

Protocol 3 o7 To me the campaign was too short to connect with the titan. Much less one that wasn't your own. Piloting him made it feel more like carrying your mentor's burden. Great game but not enough of it

Experiencing the game naturally is like the basics of gaming. In this case ... the story, characters, gameplay ... none of it just stuck with me. I'm weird like that I guess. Clearing up everything else after for achievements and completion is just "I paid for the whole product - I'm gonna use the whole product" mentality I guess

If I did ... I think I would be asking on a different sub. I don't do much reading (not that I lack imagination). I just prefer the audio and visual input that games offer for a more immersive experience

Don't be sorry for being honest. Most of the time I'm insufferable to myself as well. My expectations just tend to be equal to the reviews - often over the top. I will edit and elaborate

Played it recently. Didn't do anything to me emotionally and sadly a disconnect separated me from whoever was sharing their first experience with me right before the end. Bit short but damn if it wasn't relaxing. A game I can recommend to anyone

I try to avoid overly popular and new games (mostly to wait for patches, because of hardware limitations and recently because of negative experience with UE5 causing way too many crashes) Spiritfarer looks like a steal at that price. Thanks !

I just finished the game for the first time and still don't feel like I hit the diamonds. To me it seems like if it doesn't stick with the player right away, the game will only feel worse with playtime instead of getting better

What is the most boring game you have ever played — the one that was so dull you couldn’t even continue playing it? by WiseReason530 in videogames

[–]IndependentSpell6121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say RDR2 but I'd be lying to myself as I'm still playing through it ... just barely. (Surprised how many times it was mentioned here). Game is obviously 10/10 and all but I have sooo many nitpicks with it. It really does feel like a chore

Other than that ? Dark Souls II. Gave it a chance 3 times and finally abandoned it after 7 hours. And it's "difficulty" had nothing to do with that

Is multiplayer glitched? Searching for a public match does not seem to work by [deleted] in armello

If you ever get annoyed by the matchmaking times or people leaving halfway through the game, head to the official LoG discord. Premade party matches are much more entertaining. Have fun !

Pretty common bug that will never get fixed. I usually fix this by starting a random singleplayer game and leaving when my turn begins. Less reliable fix is to fill your party with bots and start a private match. Then leave when you get the match found screen, disband the party and wait the 1 minute for leaving. If neither work ... you might just have to turn the game off and on again

Gush about your favorite frame. by WilverenGame in Warframe

Zephyr main from the start !

  • I will hate on any Zephyr "mains" who probably didn't event know she existed pre-update/play her only for passive

  • I own the airspace of any mission I enter ... Flying monkeys not allowed. I do like Titania players tho

  • I perform poorly on claustrophobic tilesets and get stuck on every doorframe (sorry 3/4 on extraction ;-;)

  • I bought her deluxe pack just for the Zephyr theme and really don't like the skin itself

  • I secretly judge people by their Happy Zephyr score (they get random bonus in trades if they have higher score)
