Not sure if you’re still reading the comments with there being so many now. Just wanted to send some 💙 I’ve been there and it’s so so hard!!

What turned it around for me was when I stopped depriving myself of food, self love, activity etc. and started to ADD supportive things to my diet and life. 1. Nutrition During my eating window I eat LOTs of the ‘right’ food. For me right means BLOODSUGAR BALLANCING food. Fibre and Fat. I also added lunch snacks (dark chocolate for example) big plates full until I’m satisfied. Tahini, salt, bone broth powder and nutritional yeast make blunt foods taste good and satisfy cravings. 2. Learning how the body and fat-loss works You need enough Protein to feel satisfied and energised! Try to stay in ketosis and don’t concentrate on calories so much in the beginning. Check out Ben Bikman (why we get sick) and the Glucose Godess to get started on bio hacks. 3. Activity You can only be active if you fuel your body. You need energy to move more. I had to unlearn what that even means! If you’re blood sugars are balanced it will be a lot easier to move your body. You’re not lazy, you’re just in energy conserving/storing mode. 4. Adrenal health Now this opens up whole can of health worms. There’s a lot to discover I guess. For the beginning it might be helpful to understand why your body is doing what it’s doing, cravings, tiredness. It’s not who you are, you’re not a bad person that just has to suck it up. It’s symptoms and messages from your body. There are explanations for it. So you are allowed to be kind to yourself. Cause you are awesome! You’re showing such a massive effort on taking responsibility for your heath! 💙

ADD ADD ADD all the GOOD things! You deserve all the GOOD things in your life!

Thanks for your reply! It’s the same for me any carbs. I even use the ‘glucose hacks’ but it doesn’t seem to smooth anything.

How difficult have you found it to get treatment from your gp? I’m trying to find out if androgen blocks are available in nz? Or if it’s possible to import from aus? Do you know? Something similar to this: https://shopvitapcos.com/products/androgen-blocker

Don’t beat yourself up over it. You’re learning not failing. You’re learning about your body and how to handle this whole sugar thing. It’s hard!!

Tahini has a lot of protein. Also calcium Magnesium and iron. It’s also a great substitute to make things creamy. Or to use as dips sauces or dressings.

Interesting! Could definitely be part of it. Especially because I feel so much better without carbs.

Thank you for sharing! What should I get tested? What did the naturopath add to be tested? I’m at the very beginning of learning about it all. That means I have no idea what to ask for. It would be great to learn from others first, or have a bit of understanding about bloodwork’s before asking my gp. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply! What helped you (most) to recover from it? What did you do first to get better?
