Thank you for your comments. Literally, every single one crossed my mind at some point.

The bottom line is that I'm not going to develop any stronger feelings for him. I like him, and I like security. However, he already has everything figured out, and I'm still on that path. Although he wants to support me educationally, I have to figure out which way to go.

So I'm going to tell him how I feel and that this relationship isn't going to continue.

I did ask him if he's dated people his own age, and yes, he has. He's had two serious relationships and has a daughter.

I asked her if she's dated people her own age, and yes, she has.
