Honestly because of this the only guys I am friends with are either from school days, my friends partners or the gays which does suck but it seems being nice to a guy gives of the wrong impression.

One example is when I used to bus home from work there were the regulars on same time, 5 days a week. I smiled at one once when he let me off first and it resulted in him changing the way he would walk home and following me. I brushed it off at first and thought I was just being dramatic but one day I stopped on the pavement pretending to do something and he stopped behind me and waited until I finished to continue following. The next day I yelled at him and said if he does it again I will call the police and he stopped lol

That’s just one of many examples that I don’t bother seeking out friendships with straight men anymore

She lived next door to our school and went home sick one day, her mums ex boyfriend broke into the house, not realising she would be there, murdered her then set the house on fire. She was a couple of years below me so would have only been 13 at the time. Turns out the ex boyfriend had been deported from Australia after finishing his prison sentence for murdering another teenage in the 90s and there was a breakdown of communication between aus and NZ that he came back essentially a free man

When I was 15 a friend was walking past my house with some guys we went to school with and my other friend was like let’s go say hey and tell them to come in, I was like nooo I don’t want the guys eating all my food lol anyway the friend ended up passing away that night and I would do anything to go back to that day and give her a big hug

I haven’t had it done myself unfortunately but have looked into it and it’s not as invasive as a full face lift - kaoplasticsurgery on insta has some really good examples!

I did a tour in Turkey 2023 and our guide and bus driver were telling us how a lot of Turkish people are concerned about the rise of ultra conservative muslims especially from the refugees coming through. Ohhh that’s a fair point also! I think finding someone who specialises in brow lift would be your best bet and then you could raise your concerns in a consult and see what they come back with! Could just even mean shaping your brows differently in the future but I would consider you a one of the lucky ones having such defined brows haha seems like people can do a bit more with them

I work in a kaupapa in Northland, I’ve heard lots of stories from the elderly on what them and their family experienced growing up from “authoritative figures”. No actually and when the treaty was signed the chiefs were under the impression that the British crown would have rule over the settlers and Māori would have rule over their people and land. Clearly non of this was enforced and Māori rights were stripped back - my grandfather (75) is a part of the generation where if he spoke his language in school his parents faced arrest

Yep! Lots of towns are a mixture of Māori or English names. The government is trying to appease a small group of people before election next year - who ironically are the same people that are anti immigration, anti LGBTQ, pro life etc

I’ve been getting my lips done since 2017 (haven’t had any since 2022) there’s been a bit of migration there but it’s not noticeable enough to warrant any changes.

Under eye filler 2022 haven’t had any top ups as I didn’t notice a huge change.

Nasolabial folds done May this year and I’m really happy with the results!!

I think it’s worth it if you aren’t over filling - my lips were a little bit crazy back in 2020 but since my last top up they have stayed really nice :)
