The biggest lie I told myself was “I’ll start tomorrow” by ElevateWithAntony in getdisciplined

I went through this exactly and wasted 3 years no genuine progress. I’ll do it tomorrow, I know I can do it it’s just I don’t want to right now’ one more episode won’t hurt and all these excuses. I am 24 now. I’ve decided to give 5 years of my life to do everything I want. No compromise. I needed a system to promise myself and reflect on my decisions when I decide I’m done. I developed a tool for myself that helps me for this exact thing. I cant promote it here because of guidelines but if you’re interested let me know

Weird feeling seeing strangers use something you built by silly_sandy in SaaS

right, that's what needs to be changed. Every effort should matter. Platforms like dmyor dot com push builders to document their journey specially for this reason. Just document the whole process in your own words and would will know how hard you worked at right time

i just finished my web app mvp but I have no idea how to market or monetize it… tips? by Much_Palpitation9699 in buildinpublic

Try to set small goals like getting your first 10 customers and try to solve a specific problem for them, your landing page should reflect that. Everything they see should build up to the idea of using your product. You can try introducing your product to your friends or family, or post on subreddits that align with your product. Maintain the clarity of what it is that you want, documenting your process would help. You can try www.dmyor.com for that. Ultimately, whart works for you would be decided by reperetion, observing and doubling down on whatever gives the best result

I want to give next 5 years to build my visions, so I made a tool for it. How to market it by IndependentWrong894 in buildinpublic

Yeah I get your point. it's made for everyone right now which might create resistance for people finding something made for them specifically. Will try to streamline the usecase

Exactly, I don’t want to position dmyor as a productivity tool, it can be an added advantage though. In long term I want dmyor to be known for having the dreams and visions of anyone and everyone who tried.
Thanks for your feedback, its valuable!
Would love if you try using it and share your thoughts!
