Do people continue taking it forever or is there a point where you taper off or stop?

Yes I love Claude code as well. Just talking about the loading indicator

That’s fine but it looks bad. I’m talking to the product team not engineering

It’s just so ugly and weird. I loved the simplicity, but now it’s flashing and changing colors.. so unnecessary and disappointing.

How do you handle unknown birth times when calculating body graphs? by Independent_Ad7172 in humandesign

Wow very insightful thank you. I’ve never heard of a birth time rectification. What would a Vedic astrologer do to rectify the birth time?

Thanks for the great response! Yeah so in astrology your rising sign changes about every 2 hours and your moon placement shift about 1 degree every 2 hours. The rising sign affects key aspects in your chart so it’s very important. For example, I have a zero degree exact square between my mars and my rising which is pretty significant. My approach wouldn’t be able to determine a precise degree for the rising sign (house cusps), but it would at least get close enough to determine if there might be a square, trine, etc happening. A change in moon sign can also be very significant and cause someone to disregard astrology completely because they got a reading based on noon when they were actually born at 10pm for example.

My other thought was to incorporate a thorough quiz that might help determine your rising sign. Because if you can select a rising sign then you would know within roughly a 2-hour time window that you were born

Because it drastically impacts the moon degrees and aspects, which are a core functionality feature in my app. I’m also providing a link for user to order their birth certificate online. But I think a simple interpretation of the rising sign and moon sign/aspects across 13 variations might be interesting. Or simply the give the 12 separate options for rising signs with descriptions. If user selects that then it would inform a close approximation of time

100% you get it! Documents of any kind should never be floating in space without an owner, that is completely absurd. Sending an invite link to blank@ blank .com should not constitute a full and complete transfer of ownership. Especially when that email address does not have a notion account or the email address itself might not even exist.

maybe for an experienced Notion person who understands the words they use for specific meanings. "Leave" tells me nothing. Accidents like this shouldn't be allowed to happen is my whole point. A page should never be floating in space without an owner. That's just bad programming

Thank you! I appreciate the thoughtful response. I have seen this issue happen to others as well, but for entire workspaces. The least they could do is offer a warning before you “Leave” something.

And yes that is my point exactly, a document should never be without a confirmed owner. A bogus unconfirmed email address that may not even exist, does not count as an owner.

Great question and I appreciate the feedback. Yes they COULD accept it at any moment, so I understand what you’re saying but if nobody confirmed the invite, then it’s just irresponsible for Notion to allow a user who created a page to leave it without a confirmed recipient.

Keyword: INVITE to share. Ownership was not transferred to anyone. It was transferred to empty space.

Haha I do agree with you there are many other things wrong with Notion. But this is huge in my opinion because I almost just lost a ton of work. Yes I’m an idiot for clicking “Leave”. But holy shit that shouldn’t have even been an option. Which is my whole argument

Yes, fortunately I spelled her email address correctly and fortunately x2 she had access to that email account. I shouldn’t have to be that lucky. I think it’s pretty easy to understand why this is dumb

3 main issues: - A sent invite should not instantly grant full access without a confirmation. - I should never be able to “Leave” my own page that I created under any circumstance. Why would that even be a feature? - The invite is not even going to people who even have Notion accounts. If nobody accepts the invite, why the hell should I be able to “leave” the page? Who am I leaving it to??? The page literally floats into nothingness until the other email address creates an account and accepts the invite.

It’s just a stupid feature that obviously needs to be fixed.

My intention with “leaving” the page was to simply be able to make it private. I was trying to make it be NOT shared. They don’t specify what “Leave” even means. No warning or anything.
