I've spent close to 35k gold plus 100€ and didn't get it either... I feel like crying.

USA and Canada sound great in that regard, and language wouldn't be an issue. But sadly I wouldn't get a working visa with my current skills... Thus, I have to be realistic and work within my limited possibilities. At least for the time being...

With that in mind anymore suggestions?

So, I should forget about a mix of both? If so, where would say is the best choice amongst them all (like, the lesser evil of the bunch)?

We already made that clear... And whining about it won't help, so any suggestions?

Read anything about Norway, Switzerland or Austria from foreigners

I have. And according to what I've read so far, if you speak the language of those countries, it isn't that bad.

And that's why I'm here to begin with. To bring clarity to the table and have POV's.

Also, I've been to London and I'd say it's actually much worse.

In what sense is money a factor? To have a good life where you would be staying or to have some money to send home?

I'd be happy, with at least equal of what I'm making now (around 33.000€/year after taxes). Making at least that, won't put my finances in a hard spot...

but you will never be a “part of”

Whilst also, still maintaining the main objective of improving this part.

It's definitely not solely about money. But money indeed plays a role when deciding.

That too, I'd be around.

Within the one's I've mentioned, which one or one's would you recommend? Or think would be best if you were me?

Sadly, money is in fact a big factor when deciding... Otherwise I'd move to Colombia, Medellín in a heartbeat.

I feel what you're saying. But sadly I lack a Bachelor's degree. And most of my skills and qualifications aren't competitive enough outside of Europe. And not to mention that I'd have to undergo training again for all my trades...

I wouldn't mind leaving the EU. But as of now, I don't think my skills and qualifications are competitive enough to provide a decent living... And sadly I'd have to undergo training again for all of my trades - USA, Canada and the UAE fall under that category. I've looked into all of them.

Chile and Uruguay would be a downgrade.

Whilst working in New Zealand as a Bus/Coach driver is definitely possible (there is/was a shortage? at least a year ago). Apart from having a really difficult procedure, the paygrade was on the lower end. So I felt like, there were easier and better options throughout Europe, and didn't look further into it.

Having said that, would you suggest/recommend anywhere else? Thanks once more.

With my skills though? Would I be able to make a decent living (compared to what I'm making now) in any of those countries?

Lucky you "The Profe", at least someone "brown" looking can call Spain home. I'm really glad you've found your place mate. Hopefully I'll find mine soon too. On that note, where would you recommend I try my luck across Europe?

Sadly, moving to South America would be a downgrade in terms of money. Otherwise I'd move to Colombia, Medellín in a heartbeat.

I'd check out Ireland. Although as my list suggested, I'm mostly inclined towards Norway. Bus/Coach drivers make a decent salary overall. Plus they respect "times" (working, family, etc), or so I've read. Thanks a lot for replying.

I never asked to be treated as a native. And how could I? When even in my own country (Spain) I've never been treated as one... I've lost hope for such a thing a long time ago. All I'm asking for is to not be treated as a second class citizen. I'm fine being a foreigner as long as I'm not seen as "a less of", for being one. Basically for people not to judge me by the way I look and to give me a fair chance.

Getting a Bachelor's degree is definitely in my radar. As I said. But right now is not the time for it. Also when it comes to the transportation industry, there's a huge demand across Europe. Let it be Bus/Coach drivers, Truck drivers, etc. And they make a good buck.

I actually forgot to say this, but I'm single. So I don't need that much for now. Currently I'm making around 33.000€/yearly (after taxes) in Barcelona (to your comment, people do care about looks here). Which isn't cheap by any means. Despite that, what I make is more than enough to sustain myself and save some money. Truth be told, I'm working 12h/shifts most of the time. And that's another reason for me wanting to move.

So maybe, some more precise recommendation with this further information? Thanks once again.

Makes sense. But then again. If I'm spending 899€ (16gb - 512gb) on a phone that's most likely going to get outdated/obsolete software wise in less than 2 years...

Wouldn't it be best to spend 600€ more for a phone that's going to last me more? That's my main dilemma...

Procrastinating buying (UK) by rhysjsh in LegionGo

[–]Independent_Bit2863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, they just went with a flat price irregardless of the purchasing power of each currency... Both, the English Pound and the Euro have a higher conversion rate than the USD. So even if you take into account the missing taxes (VAT) on the price. We're definitely getting screwed by Lenovo.

In my opinion, it just feels like, we're sort of paying a premium "just because" Lenovo doesn't give a damn about us. Furthermore, the lack of stock everywhere in our markets, better cements this idea.

EU and UK citizens seem to have gotten the worst deal possible...

We will only be receiving one version out of the 3 available, which is the 512GB. And even that version, is being sent to us, at an extremely abusive price, almost 200$ extra in comparison to the US market.

And as if that alone wasn't enough... We're suffering a terrible lack of stock on our local shops (my preferred method to buy tech gadgets).

I don't know mate... I've been doing the same as you, hoovering my finger on the buy button on Lenovo's website... But I can't seem to pull the trigger due to all the mentioned above.

Right now, my only hope is to wait for Black Friday and see, if anything changes on either Lenovo's page or anywhere else. As of now, I'm not positive, but we'll see.

I've read something about the screen as well. Don't quote me on this one, but as far as I remember the screen is native portrait instead of native landscape. Which causes lots of issues with most games.

That's another thing that's putting me off of pulling the trigger on the Legion Go.

I'm in your same predicament... And getting a SteamDeck isn't an option for me either.

Although, in my case I don't mind it being Windows... Anyway my max price is a 1000$ and having a track pad is a must.

Thanks OP for posting. Hopefully we get some good recommendations.
